Supply Chain Planning Execution of Processes and Procedures

  • Utilize established processes and procedures, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services to internal and external customers

  • Provide customer service with timely and accurate delivery information

  • Function as a key member of platform and business teams providing supply chain expertise while facilitating effective communication between sales/marketing, manufacturing, account services and purchasing.

  • Utilize standard planning procedures/policies/manuals

  • Drive continuous improvement processes thru network optimization, cost reductions and improved service in collaboration with other stakeholders and functions with the company

  • Accurately maintain production schedules in SAP, while maintaining appropriate SAP master data

  • Lead shutdown planning effort for areas of responsibility.

  • Work with plant manufacturing, corporate transportation, customer service and the commercial group to implement delivery and cost performance.

    2.Supply Chain Planning Strategy and Process Utilization, Analytics and Metrics

  • Effectively utilize supply chain planning procedures, processes, analytics, metrics and standards that ensures timely and efficient delivery of products to customers

  • Implement the strategic vision for Supply Chain Planning with internal and external customers

  • Participate in development and implementation of strategic plans

  • Utilize financial and business analytics, metrics & models for tracking and optimizing the planning network considering the total cost of ownership

  • Ensure that Supply Chain Planning operations and support are aligned with Supply Chain, Business and company goals and objectives

  • Utilize weekly and monthly performance metrics including key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive performance improvement.

  • Provide supply network optimization analysis to identify optimize assets, thus reducing costs and improving delivery performance.

  • Provide coaching, training, and professional development to less experienced staff members through utilization of Stepan and supply chain industry knowledge
    3.Financial Management and Leadership

  • Meet the needs of the customer while supporting department and company financial goals and objectives.

  • Optimize supply network for areas of responsibility through effective utilization of supply chain tools and best practices

  • Optimize supply chain network assets including plant infrastructure through effective use of SAP and collaboration with the commercial organization and other supply chain organizations

  • Utilize financial and business analytics, metrics & models for tracking and optimizing the planning network considering the total cost of ownership

  • Participate in monthly demand management and supply meetings.

  • Develop SAP and supply chain skillset to effectively deliver training to team members that allows them to provide optimal performance related to:

  • Planning and Scheduling of Plant Resources

  • Capacity Analyses

  • Inventory Management

  • Network Optimization

  • Relationship Management

  • Manage and optimize SAP Data

  • Develop inventory plans in conjunction with Inventory Management and plant manufacturing teams

  • Monitor and maintain appropriate finished goods, intermediate and raw material inventory levels based on established inventory targets.
    4 Technology

  • Develop SAP skills to participate in IT infrastructure opportunities to support company planning operations.

  • Partner with members of Supply Chain and others to proactively address network optimization opportunities, drive process improvements and ensure best in class practices

  • Provide training and drive optimization of SAP as it relates to Supply

Minimum Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred), as well as, 1-3 years of related work experience and requires the following:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • SAP Experience

  • Supply Chain Experience

  • APICS CPIM certification preferred

  • An action-oriented self-starter, capable of being productive with limited direction.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities

  • Some project management skills

As an Automated Logistical Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will maximize your organizational skills and learn the ins and outs of supply chain management. From storage and distribution to warehouse management, your primary responsibility will be to supervise and perform specific functions in order to maintain equipment records and parts. Major duties include: establishing and maintaining records (stock lists, inventory, material control, etc.), maintaining stock locator system and administering document control procedures, processing requests and turn-in documents, performing prescribed load-list and shop-stock list duties in manual and automated supply applications, and operating material-handling equipment.
