About the Position
Manage aggregate demand (domestic & exports) & supply balance for both imported & domestically-produced products across a single source or multiple sources to optimize service levels. Provides guidance and coaching to Aggregate Planner Staff associates.
Work in conjunction with Management (PBU) aggregate Production Sales Inventory (PSI) & sets system TAKT. Coordinate customer service & inventory objectives. Manages inventory to assure levels are optimized, excess, obsolete & slow-moving inventory is addressed to support business objectives.
Ensures internal & external customers receive the highest level of service.
Participate & manage the Development of factory aggregate capacity plans, analyzes shortfalls, recommends solutions & takes action as required.
Participate & manage the Development of supply response across S&OP & aggregate inventory projections. Coordinates in capacity planning discussions with Manufacturing Assists in sourcing changes.
Collaborates with sales, marketing & manufacturing to transform agreed to sales plan into manufacturing aggregates & assists management across strategic business units globally to coordinate imports & exports
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, engineering, computer science or related field required. Advanced Degree and APICS Certification preferred.
5+ years' experience in a supply chain function, operations management, or related role, preferably in a multi-plant manufacturing environment.
Experience with Tier I ERP systems preferred.
Experience with lean methodologies, six sigma, continuous improvement processes preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Capable of effectively training planners in Tier 1 ERP systems.
Effective interpersonal & communication skills in dealing with people in a variety of functions within the organization.
Exposure to Six Sigma & other continuous Improvement processes.
Understand inventory strategy, customer service, product supply, deployment & production planning.
Ability to work with remote teams in an effective manner.
