For additional information, visit: www.elbitsystems-us.com or follow us on Twitter.Job DescriptionPrimary Purpose:The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer drives customer satisfaction and continual improvement in accomplishing ESA's strategic plan through monitoring, managing and resolving issues related to Supplier quality performance. The Senior SQE is proficient in developing Supplier relationships, auditing Supplier's capabilities, capacities, products, processes and procedures, coaching Supplier improvements, leading the disposition of Supplier rejections, and coordinating Supplier corrective actions.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees will be required to carry out any and all duties necessary for the needs of the organization. * Conduct Source Inspections, Incoming Receiving Inspections, and Material Surveys to ensure internal and external customers quality and technical requirements are adhered to by Suppliers * Review Supplier First Article Inspections (FAI's) IAW AS9102* Assign, monitor and close Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR's) while ensuring appropriate Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) has been identified and addressed to reduce and/or eliminate future occurrence * Issue and disposition Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCR's)* Initiate and participate in Continuous Improvement activities to improve Supplier performance, productivity, and processes * Monitor quality performance metrics for assigned Suppliers and develop Return to Green Plans * Lead activities such as Supplier qualification, Supplier development, and Supplier Zero Defect Programs (ZDP)* Ensure compliance of suppliers through leading and participating in supplier audits and identify and manage Supplier risks * Coach Supplier Operations Team members on Quality Management System requirements * Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities * Reviews internal Supplier Quality Assurance Procedures to ensure compliance with customer and/or government requirementsAuthorities: * Completes tasks with no Manager oversight * Provide mentoring to assigned Suppliers * Provide mentoring to team members * Collaborate with internal ESA/ESL organizations to identify solutionsConsulting Relationships * Supply Chain Organization * Site Operations to include, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Program Management * Corporate Affiliates * External Supplier Stakeholders, CustomersQualificationsMinimum Education and Experience Required * Bachelor RequiredCertifications/Licenses:Preferred: Certified Internal AuditorASQ-CQE, CQA, or equivalentLean Six Sigma Green BeltExperience Required in Years * Functional (Using Skill Set); 5-10 years * Industry; 3-5 yearsUnique working conditions or physical demands in this job: * Ability to travel up to 30% - U.S. Passport * Ability to read Blue Prints, Engineering Drawings * Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication (Technical Writing experience a plus)* Problem solving, analytical, and process improvement skills / experience * Demonstrated knowledge of quality management methodologies such as:*
