We are looking for a Senior Supervisor for our aftermarket parts support team. This person will be responsible for overseeing/performing all tasks involved in the shipment, requisition and storage of materials into and from a distribution warehouse environment. Requirements include expertise in MRP/ERP systems, management experience, excellent oral and written communications skills, and theoretical/working knowledge of materials/purchasing working environments. Experience with Baan / Oracle - JD Edwards is a plus and familiarity with planning software Demand Solutions.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage individual contributors

  • Managing escalated expedite requests to support dealer expectations

  • Approve purchase orders of a high dollar value

  • Communicate and mitigate any material shortages

  • Coordinate with Purchasing Manager to resolve supplier issues

  • Be able to work autonomously with limited supervision

  • Minimize E&O and manage inventory levels to support product changes, platform introduction and platform discontinuance

  • Support cost and inventory reduction and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Oversee/control freight costs through appropriate enforcement of policy


BA/BS degree with 6-10+ years' experience

MA/MS degree with 4-7+ years' experience

PhD degree with 2-4+ years' experience

In this capacity, you will be required to maintain an expert level knowledge base in multiple practice areas in order to capture requirements, document designs and any related organizational dependencies, draft and implement configuration against those designs, establish performance benchmarks, and provide 4th level escalation support for troubleshooting a variety of complex solutions that are constantly undergoing change due to shifts in both internal and external requirements. In addition, you will ultimately lead and foster a long-term relationship with internal and external contacts, support staff, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that a given solution's life cycle continues to deliver against changing business requirements. You must not only be an expert, but passionate about their field by maintaining current knowledge of industry trends, topics, methodologies and core technologies to be able assimilate and forecast technical needs/requirements, as well as design appropriate technical solutions for them.
