Job summary -

Typical tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for providing leadership to one or more Business Unit Cells

  • Apply ACE, lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components.

  • Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner.

  • Execute business decisions in a fair and equitable manner, conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communications, consistent application of policy/work rules, clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives.

  • Requires availability on all shifts.

  • Support all Company obligations as they relate to Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action, contracting with the United States Government and Administration of FAA policies and procedures.

  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English

Required Qualifications -

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or operations, AS degree with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or operations, OR in lieu of degree, a High School Diploma/GED with 9+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or operations.
  • 2+years of leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications -

  • Proven skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & mentoring skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Analytical, problem solving & mathematic skills

  • Knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures

  • Be flexible relative to department assignment and available for off-shift work

  • Proven flexibility / adaptability in high stress, ambiguous environments

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize

  • Working knowledge of new product / process technologies

  • Strong computer skills

Job Summary - * Creating, correlating, maintaining and revising CMM programs to be used by operators for in-line inspecting of machined jet engine components of various size and complexity. * Preparing inspection plans based on part geometry, tolerances, GD&T and functional requirements for optimum performance and accuracy. * Performing correlation of CMM programs and executive software upgrades to ensure accuracy, comprehensiveness and robustness. * Evaluation and testing of new CMM hardware and software. * Maintaining CMM hardware and software. * Providing customers with correlated CMM programs and the support of such. * Testing new technologies that may reduce inspection and programming times and improve accuracy. Basic Qualifications - * Bachelor's Degree with 0- 3 years of CMM experience, Associates Degree with 3+ years of CMM experience OR in lieu of degree a High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of CMM experience. Preferred Qualifications - * CMM programming experience in Calypso and/or PC-DMIS. * Proficient reading and interpreting blueprints. * Proficient with GD&T * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Must be able to communicate effectively with manufacturing engineering, precision inspection personnel and shop floor employees. * Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
