What you will be doing

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will spearhead the implementation of cutting-edge products in the Marketing domain, leveraging AI/GenAI technologies. You will work in synergy with various teams to prototype, build, test and deploy innovative products powered by GenAI technology at scale. Take charge of prompt engineering, LLM fine tuning, developing programmatic scoring framework and ensuring seamless integration end to end with ACI ecosystem.

The position will be based in Pleasanton CA.

Main responsibilities

• Champion the adoption of best practices in prompt engineering, LLM tuning, and LLMOps.

• Ensure the smooth integration of AI/GenAI solutions into existing ACI systems and workflows.

• Oversee the setup, troubleshooting, and deployment of GenAI models and applications across various environments (sandbox, dev, QA) in accordance with ACI guidelines and standards.

• Guide team members in developing cutting-edge and innovative solutions that position ACI in the forefront of technology advancement.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders from Domain/Enterprise Architecture, DevOps, Infosec, ML, and Product Management to build trust and ensure timely delivery of high-quality projects.

• Provide technical leadership for projects, ensuring accountability for all technical efforts across various geographical locations (onshore/offshore/nearshore).

• Promote a culture of automation, self-service, and engineering excellence, empowering development teams to transition from build phase to production with minimal effort.

The salary range is $ 157,900 to $ 205,300 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). What we are searching for

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, configuring, and deploying platform solutions across various domains in the retail industry.

• A solid foundation in AI, Generative AI, LLM, Machine Learning, and Data Science.

• Proficiency in understanding and working with LLM (Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex PalM2, Open Source LLM), Prompt Engineering, RAG, Langchain, Llamaindex, Vector database, and Fine Tuning of LLM Models.

• Demonstrated knowledge of architecture, fine-tuning, RAG, vector store, design principles, and the ability to build scalable solutions that meet enterprise standards.

• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI development, such as Python, Java, and REST-based APIs.

• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and deep learning architectures.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle challenges in developing AI solutions for various retail industry domains.

• Ability to stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AI and adapt to changes in technology and/or marketing principles.

• Awareness and commitment to ethical considerations in AI development, ensuring responsible and unbiased AI implementations.

• Experience in managing people and tasks across multiple simultaneous projects with aggressive timelines.

• Proven experience in team building, collaboration, coaching, and mentoring.
