We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer to join our team in San Jose, California. As an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing production and manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and productivity while minimizing costs. You will be tasked with driving solutions to production issues, identifying areas for process improvement, working closely with our CM/OSAT supplier base to resolve production/delivery issues affecting production, and setting up collection and analysis of production data and metrics. The ideal candidate will be familiar with production tools such as MES/PLM/ERP/MRP, have good coding and database skills, and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare for and lead the capacity expansion and transfer of flagship products to APAC manufacturing facilities, collaborating closely with R&D, OSATs, and production teams.

  • Conduct comprehensive manufacturing readiness assessments, including FMEA risk analysis, process planning, and training of APAC manufacturers.

  • Support capacity expansion analysis and planning, including materials planning, supply chain development, and capital equipment deployment.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance metrics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve reliability throughout the manufacturing process.

  • Own and drive key production-related projects, such as product BOM development, AOI system implementation, and data management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on optical technologies.

  • Proven track record of success in leading manufacturing capacity expansion projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Strong expertise in manufacturing readiness assessments, process optimization, and quality assurance.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Pay Range is $137K to $172K
