Sr Staff Business Operations Engineer

This role will serve as the operations leader for the Aviation Digital Data sciences organization, and has responsibility for day-to-day operational execution, covering both internal and external data science engagements
Program milestone/metric tracking
Coordination with GED, GRC, global teams and product management on resource allocation, budget tracking and technology maturation tracking
Coordination with sub-section and section managers to track the budget spend on program and non-program activities
Create operating mechanism/structure for internal/external data science engagement
Establish vision, identifies and champions internal / external best practices, tools and ideas to improve execution and quality
Own and be accountable for team financial, resources, staffing assuring commitments are met
Use disciplined approaches to monitor team progress via effective information dashboards for program velocity, burn-up, defect tracking, quality and compliance
Be an expert in proactively using data, practical knowledge and innovative insights to drive timely decisions, determine appropriate
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 7 years of experience delivering engineering/data science solutions, including program management

Good understanding of airline operations
Good understanding of GE Aviation Services operations
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills
Working knowledge of data science, analytics & software engineering
Six sigma / Blackbelt / Fastworks experience
