What you will do:
Responsible for the accounting of Sales and Marketing expenses
Preparation of recurring journal entries for accounts and;
Preparation of variance analysis report for discretionary marketing expenses.
Perform all tasks related to accounting and reporting of Sales and Marketing Channel Revenue Module.
Review and analyze reduction request and marketing purchasing request submitted to ensure they are authorized and documented in accordance to Company Policy; and last review for accuracy in the accruals in accordance to US GAAP.
Responsible to create accounting in the Channel Revenue Module on a weekly basis.
Prepare monthly journal entries for manual month end accruals of transactions not recorded in Channel Revenue Module
Perform analysis of Sales and Marketing accounts at month end to ensure accuracy.
Provide recommendations to Senior Manager Financial Reporting and Accounting, VP of Financial Reporting and Accounting of necessary adjustments, including write-off of unused accruals.
Perform variance analysis of actual period and year to date Sales and Marketing expenses as compared to budget and prior year.
Compile and publish monthly Sales and Marketing statistical reports by retailer in order to report and analyze significant variances.
Requires a Bachelors Degree with a concentration/major in Accounting.
Minimum of 4 experience as an Accountant with General Ledger and financial reporting experience.
Proficient with Oracle Financial Statements "preferred" Channel Revenue Management and Hyperion
Advanced MS Office products (Excel, Power Point , Access etc.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
