Primary Responsibilities Include:
Proposal and budget development
University and sponsor policy and guideline interpretation for faculty members and their lab personnel
Forecasting expenses and providing regular as well as ad hoc financial reports to Department and faculty
Reconciling faculty and lab research needs with overall financial picture and making recommendations regarding spending rates
Monitoring accounts to ensure compliance with federal, University and/or sponsor regulations
Other Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Acting as effort report coordinator;
Approving payments over certain dollar thresholds;
Training lab managers and other lab personnel on sponsored research policies and procedures;
Assist in implementing policies at the department level and recommend process improvements;
Help to resolve issues related to research funding and related to migrating and/or transferring labs.
This position will be a liaison to Office of Sponsored Programs and other relevant offices in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
