Job Overview
Job Description:
Overall Purpose: Responsible for the analysis and interpretation of present and future federal, state and local tax legislation to identify opportunities to minimize tax liabilities while maintaining compliance with all income tax reporting rules and regulations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Conducts research to understand and advise management of the federal, state and local tax implications of various business activities.
Responsible for the preparation of complex and multi-tiered federal and state partnership returns with interests held by third-party partners.
Prepares and files tax returns required under applicable federal, state and local regulations.
Meets all required internal and statutory deadlines and keeps management apprised of any delays.
Works closely with various tax and non-tax teams to support the needs of the business organizations and their customers.
Supports federal, state and local audits including responding to information requests and filing amended returns for correlative state adjustments stemming from Federal RARs.
Supports tax technology initiatives to generate synergies, efficiencies and cost reductions through automation and other streamlining opportunities.
Job Contribution: Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Considers the needs of the business and the opinions of team members in the decision making process. Utilizes available technology to streamline processes.
Education: Bachelors or Advanced degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Typically requires 3-5 years of experience. Supervisory: No.
