Duties: Architect the infrastructure and application workloads with focus on security, reliability, scalability, operational excellence, and sustainability.

Support the operational reliability of real-time trading and portfolio performance applications for the firm keeping our shared environments available for customers. Deploy the Infrastructure and the corresponding application on it with Infra as a Code. Continuous Integration and Delivery workflows (CI/CD) and collaboratively implement architecture best practices.

Build and rollout plans for enhanced telemetry and reduce defects for software delivery to multiple lower environments. Perform real-time troubleshooting of critical application workflows and incorporating feedback to product development. Work on enterprise systems administration, monitoring, and deployment activities.

Build scripts to automate operational tasks and incorporate the solutions into the infrastructure. Collaborate with Engineering, Scrum, and Operations resources to provide technical expertise and support on key initiatives for system availability and reliability. Create operational workflows for recurring issues, new standard operating procedures, and knowledge transfer material.

Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab's internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $139,464.00 to $160,800.00 per year

What you have

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field.

Requires 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor's related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Administer pivotal cloud Foundry environment to host development or staging or production applications with enterprise level framework; Administer AWS environment to host cloud native applications in a serverless architecture; Onboard JAVA and .NET core applications on PCF Platform providing application-level support; Atlassian toolset including Bamboo, Jira, and Confluence to deploy in CI/CD framework; Splunk and Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) to monitor application jobs and performance issues including network and security; Python to support application enhancements and bug fix; and MongoDB database to update space users and security groups in PCF.
