Purpose (Brief summary of why role exists):

The Store Operations Analyst supports strategies that educate and motivate store audiences to achieve business results across operational expense categories. The Store Operations Analyst will support or manage the process of demand planning, sourcing, procuring, distributing, warehousing and delivering goods/services that support the operations of retail stores. This position will interact will all functions including local/global procurement and 3rd party vendors while acting as an interface between the retail back office and store teams. This role will identify, create, develop/improve, and implement programs to deliver cost effective supplies/services to retail stores that help the company achieve the financial goals. This role supports the day-to-day store operations including reporting, project management, vendor management, budgeting, forecasting and general tasks or administrative duties.

Key Accountabilities (List the 5-10 major areas of responsibility for role):

  • Manages procurement process for goods/services; requirements collection, sourcing, negotiation, vendor selection, setup/implementation, purchasing, logistics, invoice processing, and vendor management

  • Work with business partners to assess their business needs for supplies and services

  • Applies strategic sourcing process to secure goods/services that meet or exceed requirements

  • Collaborates with Legal team and Procurement to negotiate vendor contracts for goods/services

  • Responsible for the setup and implementation of new vendors

  • Issues purchase orders and processes invoices in compliance with organization standards

  • Responsible for overseeing the cost-effective delivery of goods and services to stores

  • Manage the relationships with applicable 3rd party vendors; audits, cost saving opportunities, scorecards and account reviews

  • Collaborates with Finance team to develop store supply budgets and monthly forecasting

  • Maintains adequate inventory levels of stores supplies to meet current and forecasted demands while minimizing warehousing and transportation costs

  • Manages the NSO (New Store Opening) supplies process

  • Provides analytics and reporting to monitor and improve store level expenditures for supplies and services

  • Implements and maintains spending control mechanisms (approval queues) to assist stores with the management of supply budgets.

  • Leads process improvement projects to improve internal p2p (procure to pay) processes; reduce cycle time, eliminate rework and control costs

  • Collaborates with Procurement and GBS to improve procurement tools and systems

  • Capable of working independently under little guidance on several projects simultaneously

  • Sound business acumen, including familiarity with financial reporting and measurements

  • Strong intranet and/or systems administration experience

  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Project, and Visio

Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year university required, preferably in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain or a related field of study.

  • 3-5 years related experience required

  • Retail store operations experience is preferred
