Job Description

As a Senior Specialist - Stewardship, you will play a crucial role in cultivating and stewarding donors and prospects considering major gifts, planned giving, and foundation gifts. You'll work closely with our remote staff to complete the giving cycle for various gift plans, including bequests, charitable gift annuities, stock donations, IRA beneficiary designations, and life insurance gifts.

Responsibilities

• Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and prospects.

• Recognize donor response trends and qualify potential donors.

• Ensure accurate and effective marketing response devices and fulfillment packages.

• Gift Planning:

• Assist donors in understanding complex gift planning options.

• Provide information on planned giving and complex assets.

• Communicate with donors on a conversational level regarding gift planning.

• Written and Verbal Communication:

• Speak and write clearly and effectively for internal and external relations.

• Understand and follow complex verbal or written instructions.

• Utilize excellent telephone skills.

• Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

• 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, customer service, or related fields.

• Negotiation and active listening skills.

• Detail-oriented and customer-focused.
