Position Summary:

Harman International is looking to hire a Senior Product Marketing Specialist to support the Marketing Team on building out the portfolio of product launch programs and assets for outbound product marketing activities for all Lifestyle Consumer products. Our objective is to establish a market leadership position in consumer audio products like headphones, portable audio solutions, and home multi-media products.

We're looking for a strong blend of technical understanding and strategic marketing to adeptly position, message, and drive marketing creative with a keen focus on solving business challenges and drive brand awareness.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will have no supervisory responsibility.

Job Responsibilities:

Support New Product Launch Activities (Sales Enablement)

  • Partner with the Category and Product Management Teams to execute a consolidated product launch in the Americas region

  • Deliver assets required to enable the sales teams to effectively sell-in new products into the channels

  • Partner with category leaders on commercialization plans, sell-in materials, etc.

  • Partner with Brand Management and Category Management to develop messaging and content for outbound marketing in the Americas region

  • Partner with the Customer Marketing and Digital Marketing teams to support the sell-in vision and programs that drive retailer interest and demand for products

Support Global Demand Generation Campaigns (Demand Generation)

  • Partner with Market Brand and Insights Team and be the expert on your consumers, how they buy and their buying criteria

  • Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan

  • Support marketing to deliver strategic 360 launches and continuity of marketing plans for products.

Support/Manage Marketing Assets

  • Manage development and launch-phase assets schedules to support Americas launches with NPI Global Assets Develop team

  • Follow the product into the field to ensure customer success

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in interacting with management and communicating the functional vision

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or business related field

  • 5+ years of consumer marketing experience

  • Prior experience in a large, multinational organization

  • Strong project management skills

  • Consumer Electronics experience is a bonus

The individual will support component change impact assessments, equipment troubleshooting, testing and verification of supplier component changes, process development, characterization and validation. This position involves working closely with several other functions, including Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Sourcing, R&D, Quality and Regulatory. A Day in the Life * Assess process/device impact and verify/ test any changes at raw material suppliers. * Operate and troubleshoot any issues with production equipment to support production * Perform any root cause investigations for non-conformances/device failures to determine mitigations for yield impact * Document requirements, specifications and procedures for tooling, equipment and process * Develop and execute process characterization test protocols and validation to support product and process verification * Execute experiments, analyze results using appropriate statistical methods and provide recommendations for improvements for continuous improvement projects. * Create and present presentations to management and train/mentor other team members. * Coordinate with all project stakeholders to align deliverables with business needs and complete projects in a timely manner * You may be responsible for the transfer of design updates/products from R&D to manufacturing. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: * Responsible for production support engineering with respect to testing methods, procedures, and problems; device specification and yield problems; minor redesign of devices and masks; analysis of customer returns; supplier related engineering changes and optimizing device production relative to cost constraints. * Assumes responsibility for device and/or internally produced or externally purchased components after transfer into high-volume production and usually responsible for entire device manufacturing operations other than wafer fabrication. * May assist customer in device usage problems or customer testing of complex devices. Must Have: Minimum Requirements To be considered for this role, the following minimum requirements must evident on your resume. * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences and 4+ years of experience OR Master's degree in Engineering or Sciences and 2+ years of experience.
