Sr. Specialist Network Engineer->> Leads in the research, development, and the enterprise-wide integration and implementation of new and emerging technologies.

Implements and supports the network infrastructure and systems for large, complex networks. Designs and supports inter-network solutions including the physical and logical configuration documentation and has a comprehensive understanding of the entire network topology and architecture. Performs overall network design or support and on-going review of moderately complex network design.

Works with other IT areas to define or support architectural standards. Works with other IT staff and vendor representatives on projects, installations, moves, changes, troubleshooting, documentation and servicing. Stays informed of current industry trends and emerging technologies.

Evaluates new technology, products, and services for potential and opportunity as future networking solutions or upgrade/replacement. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.


Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred, 8-10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting high-traffic networks required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

A Day in the Life: * Strategic Digital Campaign: Turn marketing strategy into a commercial reality by designing and executing digital campaigns to achieve business results. Recommend and influence the direction and downstream channel strategies for new and existing products and market development efforts. Work with the product marketing team, the commercial marketing team and the medical education team to target our messaging through multiple channels to achieve the marketing objectives. * Relationship Management: Establish and cultivate strong, productive working relationships with Marketing and Communications colleagues and across the business and broader CRHF & CVG. Represents the MCS Marketing Communications organization as a primary contact for digital communications both external and internal. * Creative Direction: Lead and influence the creative development of campaigns both visually and verbally, compliant to Medtronic brand guidelines. Develop and Manage brand assets for both internal and external use. * Communicate Metrics: Responsible for communication of metrics from digital efforts. Develop dashboard for priority initiatives. Report out and up. * Writing & Editing: Understand and apply the elements of writing excellence. Write, edit and/or manage the writing of content and materials with both substantive and creative copy solutions. Conduct appropriate research to test messages and/or communication content.
