Software Development Engineer - Telecom

We are seeking an experienced software development engineer with telecommunication expertise. The candidate will help with LTE and 5G call flow analysis and automation. They will support network function deployment using Azure DevOps and Visual Studio. They will work closely with software delivery vendors to review feature delivery test results for acceptance. They will analyze network function logs, and network traffic flows in PCAP format. They need excellent problem solving and communication skills and be able to work in team environment and independently. They will make use of Python, Robot Framework, Selenium, YAML, Bash, Shell scripts, Terraform, Ansible. They will work with tools such as Spirent and Landslide.

Responsibilities:

• Work with NF software delivery vendors for new release acceptance.

• Analyze and troubleshoot mobility call flows using NF logs and network traffic PCAP logs.

• Automate NF call flows for validation of functionalities.

• Develop and deploy Azure DevOps pipelines.

• Develop pipelines in YAML.

• Work with Azure cloud environment for NF deployments.

• Will use tools such Spirent, Landslide, ANT and their APIs for call flow test and automation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of software development experience in Telecom.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in LTE/5G call flows analysis

• Minimum 1+ years of experience with Azure cloud environment and Azure DevOps

• Strong interpersonal, communication, analysis and reporting skills.

• Proficiency in analysis of network function logs and network traffic log captures (PCAPS).

• Strong problem solving skills and ability to lead defects troubleshooting and analysis meetings.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline e.g. Computer Science, or Engineering.

Our Sr. Specialist Member of Technical Staff earn between $122,000 - $183,000 USD, annually. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
