Assists in the development and seamless execution of marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement and sales growth at Big Lots stores and BigLots.com. Uses knowledge of merchandise strategies and marketing tactics to drive change by building content that can be used across all marketing channels. Strategic and creative marketer who can bring new ideas as well as handle critical day-to-day tasks in an ever-changing retail environment.
1.Assist in the day-to-day coordination of all Integrated Marketing activities.
2.Own the development, information gathering, and communication of the Marketing calendar including monthly product messaging stories, daily promotional offers and dates, paid media, etc.
3.Assist in the development, presentation, and execution of key marketing strategic plans including quarterly content marketing meetings, monthly marketing planning meetings, and key product launches as assigned.
4.Develop comprehensive recaps of all key marketing programs, sharing in a simple way that includes results and recommended changes.
5.Work cross-functionally with internal marketing teams and external media agencies to ensure plans are executed in line with approved marketing plans across social, email, digital, website, and other touch points.
6.Craft comprehensive, strategic briefs and submit them through the traffic system, following business timelines for seasonal campaigns, key launches, etc.
7.Work closely with the Creative team to ensure all messaging/assets are error-free and optimized against our approved marketing strategy.
8.Assist in the new store opening planning and management of deliverables as assigned.
1.Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing or related field required.
2.Minimum of four years of marketing experience required. Retail and/or agency experience is preferred.
3.Detail-oriented multi-tasker with strong organizational skills required.
4.Forward thinker and strategic problem solver required.
5.Positive, can-do attitude that can find needed answers and negotiate trade-offs to ensure unprecedented business growth given competing priorities.
6.Able consistently produce high quality results and meet deadlines in a fluid, fast-paced environment required.
7.Highly motivated with the ability to function independently preferred.
