What you'll be doing:

You'll be a lead resource for all aspects of SOX Compliance, reporting to the Sr. Manager of SEC Reporting and SOX Compliance. This position will lead the ongoing processes related to the company's scoping and risk assessment of controls over financial reporting, including identification of key controls, maintenance of process documentation, independent testing of controls, and assessment/evaluation and reporting of deficiencies. This position will also assist with other compliance testing and reporting, including CMS "Sunshine Act" compliance, testing and reporting on employee expense reports, as well as SEC reporting and other special projects as needed.

What you need for this position:

  • Bachelor and/or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems. CPA or CISA license a plus.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including public accounting, and SOX audit/internal audit experience. Big 4 experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel.

  • Strong Experience with and understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, Internal Controls over Financial Reporting and COSO standards,

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required in proposing solutions to and resolving issues that arise on a day-to-day basis.

  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated and driven to deliver results and improve processes, passionate about diving into details to gain business understanding

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders, collaborate, cooperate, and accomplish tasks with positive energy.

  • Experience with Dynamics AX and Shareworks preferred.

  • Experience with SEC Reporting preferred.

The successful candidate will be able to appraise and identify opportunities to reduce cost and lead-time while improving service levels and leading cross-functional teams to achieve quantifiable results. This candidate will also be will be a self-starter with experience in vendor negotiations, project management, and a proven track record of building relationships both within the supply base, and internally with operations/engineering/finance/marketing, to drive improved customer outcomes. They will be responsible for managing the supply base in compliance with government and company requirements. Essential Responsibilities: * Manage a supply chain strategy that fulfills customer requirements in compliance with the Trade Agreement Act, Conflict Minerals Act, Small Business Subcontracting, MDR compliance and more * Create the sourcing strategy, utilize existing and newly discovered suppliers and technologies, and manage re-sourcing projects where necessary to support future compliance in an ever-changing supply base * Support S&OP and supply planning analytics * Manage dual-sourcing projects in line with company priorities, cost-saving targets and cross-functional resources * Support cost savings targets involving a robust mix of negotiations, supply agreements, and projects * Perform cost analysis and benchmarking activities to gauge cost competitiveness * Manage supplier performance metrics * Evaluate, estimate and analyze risks, and suggest risk-minimizing strategies * Build out multi-year capacity agreements with key suppliers Basic Qualifications * 5+ years' experience in supply chain * Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field * Vendor management and ownership experience * Strong negotiation skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Preferred Qualifications * Experience in a fast pace environment * Proven ability to influence teams of peers, and manage upwards * Proficient in data analytics * Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook * Supply Chain experience within the medical device industry * Experience with international supply chain * Benchmarking and strategic industry analysis * Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements * Strong communication skills NuVasive is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
