Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing NPO healthcare provider business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice. As a Sr. Solutions Architect within AWS, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services (e.g., Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, and Amazon CloudFront) directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers. Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform; and being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.

As a Sr. Solution Architect, you will provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to the NPO healthcare markets for cloud computing working with a world class sales and business development team. You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community. You will gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture. The ideal candidate will have experience working with healthcare industry best practices for security, standards, and compliance for designing large scale cloud computing solutions.

  • Advisory/Consulting experience with NPO healthcare organizations

Your Opportunity Your role as a senior contributor on our professional Architecture team is to work independently to assist clients through the planning and creation of projects that are rooted in a deep understanding of our clients needs, are fiscally responsible, and represent design excellence. Your experience ensures that you are quite familiar with the design process from inception through close-out, including healthcare planning, code and regulatory requirements, contract documentation, estimates and building codes. You will lead diverse project teams successfully through the design process, managing workflow and production activities, while ensuring client satisfaction with the process and product. You will assist in business development activities, nurturing existing client accounts and seeking to grow our client base through building new relationships and project pursuits. As a member of our Philadelphia leadership team, you will be expected to help reinforce a collaborative and engaging environment for the teams that you lead while also ensuring design excellence, exceptional project delivery, and the highest levels of client satisfaction. Your Key Responsibilities * Advocate and inspire creativity, critical thought and design excellence both internally and externally. * Support Business Development activities, including marketing proposals, interview, conference attendance, etc. * Assist in identification, recruiting, and interviewing of design staff at all levels. * Foster collaboration between offices while promoting and providing design vision. * Acts as a mentor, teacher and coach to design staff with the goal of growing and guiding them through their careers. * Evaluate the quality of design and design activities and assure a high level of design quality throughout the firm. * Develop and implement firm's brand, image, marketing collateral and business collateral. * Participate in performance reviews including setting of career goals. * Oversee and participate in production of design award submissions. * Engage staff in dialog on design, ensure design process is followed and influence usage of technological tools. * Act as a vehicle for the delivery of firm's message on design. * Express philosophy of the work with appropriate vocabulary. * Identify and direct project photography, written descriptions, and other media in support of building the firm's portfolio. * Be an ambassador and steward of the firm's portfolio of work with ability to guide and educate others.
