Sr. Software Engineer, Mobile

The Sr. Software Engineer, Mobile will help develop mobile applications for the Alpha Informatix platform. This includes active participation in all stages of the software development life cycle, including sustaining. Projects will include, but not be limited to, cross platform Mobile applications targeting iOS and Android.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and implement mobile applications iOS and Android operating systems
• Design and implement application software using Flutter/Dart
• Work with multi-discipline teams on proofs of concept utilizing and integrating mobile technologies
• Perform integration and system level testing of software and software/hardware systems
• Perform task estimation and develop software projects according to project plan
• Provide proactive, transparent, and concise communication on project status
• Develop documentation related to software development projects (design artifacts, test plans/cases, etc.)
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure the quality of the product
• Collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Stay up to date with latest mobile technologies and make recommendations for improvement to the development process
• Work closely with product and design team to translate wireframes and prototypes into rich user experiences

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing mobile application software for iOS and Android platforms
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing application software using Flutter mobile framework
• Experience with MVVM, and data binding practices
• Experience deploying mobile applications to the Apple App Store and the Google Play store
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience with scripting languages (such as Python, Java Script, etc.)
• Experience with developing software in regulated environment (i.e. Software for Medical Devices IEC 62304) a plus
• Experience developing in Xamarin a plus
• Creative and resourceful problem solver with ability to take the big picture into account
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience in R&D required
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred

Salary Range

Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $120,000 to $135,000 Full-Time Annual Salary
