Broadridge is hiring! We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer too join our Investor Communications Division. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies while supporting Broadridge's high profile clients. We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and be on-site two days a week.

Responsibilities

  • You will work with product managers, business users, and other members of the team to understand software requirements and author code that satisfies those requirements.

  • Collaborate with team members to craft and implement multi-tiered enterprise solutions that are feature-rich, performant, and maintain a high degree of test automation.

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to more junior levels of the software engineering staff.

  • Participate in daily stand up meetings, team design sessions, code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions.

  • Perform coding following the best software engineering principles, including detailing software design and code.

  • Work to improve your skills and capabilities and those of other developers through experimentation, training, and knowledge transfer.

  • You will be responsible for the analysis of project requirements and the development of technical specifications.

  • Regularly review overall project progress with technology and business line teams.

  • Be on top of the identification and mitigation of risk for service delivery projects

  • Deliver accurate effort estimates for work you're performing

Qualifications:

  • You'll have 7+ years' experience within a programming and applications system environment such as: Java/JEE/Spring, Angular (or similar JS framework), Tomcat, SQL scripting, Unix shell scripting, RESTful APIs, GIT, Agile development, JIRA

  • Angular experience is required and critical for this role.

  • Experience with Python, Docker, Continuous Integration pipelines, nodeJS, AWS/Cloud, JIRA, Machine Learning.

  • Having hands on experience in any relational database, such as SQL Server, Oracle Having hands on experience building REST services Having experience with Test Driven development (Unit test in .NET and familiar with Jasmine Karma unit testing)

  • Full SDLC development methodologies including Agile methodologies like SCRUM and Kanban.

  • Proficient with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries

  • Experience using cloud architecture(s) for the enablement of elasticity, horizontal scalability, automation and high availability with technologies such as AWS S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and Cloudwatch Demonstrable understanding of API integration, including authentication concepts, HTTP requests/responses, API tools such as Postman or Fiddler, etc.

  • Having experience with all phases of application programming.

  • Experience working in Agile methodologies including SCRUM/Kanban and Jira

  • Work effectively on multiple projects at once.

  • Enjoys working in a highly effective, Agile, deadline driven, and fast-paced team environment.

  • Demonstrates creative problem skills, dedication to excellence, and has an ambitious spirit.

  • You'll develop, test, debug and implement code for existing and/or new applications and/or systems.

  • You will help create architectural blueprints and establish best engineering practices for the team to follow.

  • You'll implement automated unit and integration testing of applications/solutions.

  • You will embrace best software engineering practices and help onboard our applications onto a Continuous Integration pipeline.

  • You will work with users and QA to perform Quality Assurance testing of applications and resolve all reported defects/issues

  • Superb communication skills and a desire to collaborate openly within a fast paced team.

  • You'll demonstrate knowledge in the software implementation lifecycle and specific programming languages.

  • You'll possess a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.

Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $110,000. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
