The selected candidate will be supporting the Spectrum Convergence Programs in all phases of the software development process. This individual will be executing software development and programming primarily in JAVA or C++, in a team environment potentially supporting multiple projects or task orders supporting the maintenance, modernization and capability upgrades to multiple software products developed and sustained by this program.

The selected candidate will also collaborate closely with project management, systems engineers, systems integration and test engineers as well as fellow software engineers. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience developing software in one or more of the following: Java or C++

Familiarity with a variety of development technologies (e.g. JAVA, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, Typescript, Angular, RESTful APIs)

Proficient with software development best-practices, to include design patterns

Software development experience across the complete life-cycle of a program

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance with a final Top Secret.

Desired Skills:

Cloud and virtualized environments (AWS, GovCloud, VSphere)

Experience with container development and orchestration with Kubernetes or a K8s distribution such as Rancher

Experience with automated build, testing and continuous deployment

Experience with Agile methodologies

Experience with databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Mongo)
