Skills and Experience You Will Need

GalaxE.Solutions, Inc. (Somerset, NJ) seeks Sr. Software Engineer-Java - Design and develop web services and UI pages using UML Modeling, MVC Architecture and Object Oriented Programming; Gather system requirements and collaborate with software developers / technical team; Define multiple approaches to business problems and implement technical solutions; Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, scalability of system architecture and ensure that code is well aligned with requirements; Test code and ensure that functionality of developed component meets requirements and conduct reviews; Participate in Agile meetings and translate application storyboard and use cases into functional applications and provide technical solutions; Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate issues; Implement automated testing platforms using Junits / Mockito for Springboot and Jasmine tests for ReactJs; Implement Database solutions with any combination of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB; Build and deploy code using Dev Ops tools GIT and Jenkins; and Deploy code in PCF or AWS cloud in different environments.

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related field plus 3 years of experience in any occupation which includes the required experience/skills. Experience must include: 3 years of experience in design and development of applications using Java, Springboot, Hibernet, JPA, web-services, and REST; 3 years of experience in writing JUnit Test cases; 1 year of experience in CI/CD using GIT Hub and Jenkins; 1 year of experience with SQL and any combination of relational Databases; and 1 year of experience in using any combination of AWS, Azure or PCF technologies for deployment. This is a hybrid position.

Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on actual job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer

• Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed

• Must be able to work on-site (corporate/client offices), as needed (not applicable for 100% remote roles)

• Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.

• Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.

• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, the ability to tolerate fluorescent lighting, and the ability to adjust focus.
