The senior software engineer is responsible for providing technical guidance to junior technical team members. Responsible for all administrative tasks involved with web-based applications in direct support of the corporate applications. This individual is also the primary source for technical product support, addressing technical product issues, and delivering and installing new software releases to customers and providing post-implementation technical product support for customers. The scope of this position includes support for the following applications: Data Relationship Management, Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), Financial Data Quality Management Enterprise Edition, SmartView, Web Symphony, and EPM Maestro.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as a technical consultant to the enterprise and leads research and prototyping of innovative technologies and products. Ensures the technology and architectural roadmap of engineering is properly aligned with and supports the product/business road map and standards.
Provide application technical support and administration that include supporting roles for configuration updates and changes.
Proactively researches technology trends of the product; identifies and markets applicable uses of the product and its components.
Ensures a stable performance environment for the Oracle Hyperion services.
Works with the IT Enterprise Architecture group to define and manage the infrastructure for the enterprise application and identifies major areas of development.
Participates in various IT projects intended to continually improve and upgrade the infrastructure, such as evaluation of new software and hardware required to meet a business need or to make a process more cost effective.
Assist the Technical Service Manager in defining Hyperion service technical standards and procedures
Proactively researches and locates the necessary tools and processes to identify trends that impacts the Hyperion service.
Proactively analyzes and predicts trends and develops a long-range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring; maintain high service level for the user community.
Proactively assists the Hyperion Technical Service Manager and the customer, in defining direction for future projects.
BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related area required
Fluent in English.
7 plus years of experience working within a Hyperion platform (FDMEE, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Financial Management, Data Relationship Management, and Essbase)
Exceptional customer service orientation, with a focus professional interaction with all customers, contractors and vendors, both internal and external to Emerson.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively work in a team environment.
Ability to operate independently, self-initiated and work in a multi tasked environment, taking from initial scope request to delivery.
Driven to think outside of the box for best solution.
Knowledge of computer hardware, including Intel based desktops, laptops, and servers; Including troubleshooting experience with client-server and web-based applications.
Knowledgeable in PowerShell Scripting, SQL Developer, Toad, WebLogic, IIS, JBOSS, Java, JYTHON, MAXL Scripts
Advance knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
