In this role as Software Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in new and on-going projects aligned to Gladson's development roadmap. The role will involve developing new products, enhancing current product solutions, and providing business continuity through maintenance of existing applications and products.
This role will require expertise in front-end development as well as back-end development, and will be based in our office in Waltham, MA.
Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, excellent judgment, and the ability to be productive in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
You have excellent communication skills and can share insights and expectations with stakeholders, clients, team members and various levels of management.
Design, develop, debug, review, test, deploy, document, maintain and improve software.
Manage individual priorities, performance, quality, and timely delivery.
Apply generally accepted programming standards and methods.
Communicate regularly and transparently on progress of tasks and deliverables.
As-needed support for production applications or client demands.
5+ years of delivering software with preference given to those with a degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming, cloud computing, RDBMS concepts and schema design, responsive web design, client-server architectures, testing and test planning.
Troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.
Individual should thrive off team interactivity and lively discussions.
Excellent written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills.
Experience working in Agile teams.
Experience working in both Linux and Windows server environments.
Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
