Sr Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Translate functional requirements into code that meets our customers' needs and quality expectations.

• Apply user-centric design principles, working with UX teams to improve our users' experience.

• Engage in a cross-functional Agile team, focused on delivering valuable features.

• Collaborate with Product Management and Stakeholders to define technical requirements.

• Build robust and efficient APIs, using various frameworks and tools.

• Drive the adoption of best practices for code quality, scalability, maintainability, and performance.

• Drive a quality mindset, structuring code to make it more testable.

• Incorporate static code analysis, dynamic testing, and interactive checks to ensure code quality, behavior validation, and user engagement throughout the development process.

• Implement robust security measures that safeguard user data, build trust, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.

• Mentor teammates to help improve understanding, efficiency, and quality.

• Deploy applications internally and externally, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility with existing systems and infrastructure.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Application of design principles, ability to apply or set new patterns to the code you support.

Strong diagnostic, analytic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in user interface development using CSS and design tools such as Figma and Adobe XD.

Knowledgeable in frontend technologies such as HTML5, CCS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript and its nuances including ES6+ syntaxes.

Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js

Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Jest, Mocha, Jasmine) and debugging tools.

Able to rapidly experiment, create proof of concepts, and learn from frequent feedback.

Advanced skills in working with version control tools such as GIT.

Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in web development.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or 5+ years of application development experience.

Demonstrated experience in a senior or lead role, with responsibilities for technical leadership and architectural decision-making.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal office environment with use of computers and telephone systems; no unusual physical demands.
