What part will you play?

Warner Bros. Technology seeks a Sr. Software Engineer for the Business Technology and Workplace Solutions Consumer Products group. This role will serve as architect and developer for key Consumer Products Creative, Workflow & Digital Asset Management applications. The role will be responsible for definition, solution architecture and some development of new features to support business growth. This role participates in sprint planning, design/build, testing and software release activities. This position is suited to an individual who has modern architecture skills (REACT, REST APIs) who wants to remain hands-on while developing a broader business perspective and taking broad for complex creative applications.

  • Sprint/Release Planning & Execution. Understand business requirements, define functional/technical approach and confirm development estimates. Support sprint and release planning with Director and business stakeholders. Support execution against the release plan to launch and enhance applications.

  • Build & Test. Develop components for applications, in support of Consumer Products Creative users, particularly with respect to custom user interface enhancements and integrations. Determine best technology approach for implementation. Contribute to best practice standards for development and deployment of code and applications.

  • Technology Direction. Help review emerging platform features and evaluate potential uses for WBCP Creative Solutions. Develop prototype projects using new technologies to prove out capabilities. Recommend action, develop and implement selected features/services.

  • Architecture. Ensure clear/straightforward design, particularly with respect to the platform integration. Identify code/functionality that can be reused, package and publish it for appropriate reuse within the team.

  • Standards Oversight. Work with internal and external developers to ensure WB Technology code standards and best practices are adopted for development, documentation and operation of applications.

What do we require from you?

  • Bachelors, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.

  • 2-5 years of REACT and REST API development.

  • 1-2 years of Digital Asset Management system operations or development.

  • Agile Development; Scrum training desirable.

  • Expert in API development, familiar with microservices concepts.

  • REACT or similar web UI framework development experience.

  • Experience with source code and knowledge repositories.

  • Understanding of traditional data integration architectures, including data warehouses and batch interface best practices.

  • Digital Asset Management systems such as Nuxeo.

  • Project management tools (At Task, Workfront, MS Project).

  • Workflow development desired.

  • Amazon Web Services, including standard compute platforms, as well as Mongo DB, Lambda, Elasticache.

  • Familiarity with digital asset management systems.

  • Overall knowledge of product design or marketing processes desirable.

  • Must be a "self-starter" as well as able work in a group project environment.

  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with others (clients, staff, management, vendors, etc.) both written and verbal.

  • Must be able to work well in a fast paced, heterogeneous environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail, and a desire to learn and master new technologies a must.

  • Experience managing client and vendor relationships is a plus.

  • Exposure to working with off-shore teams, estimating work, and managing Product releases is a plus.

  • Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.

  • Must be able to work well under time constraints.

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.

  • Must be service-oriented.

  • Must be able to work independently.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including possible overtime, when necessary.

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

The Sr. Financial Analyst supports the financial reporting and compliance functions, serves as the internal procurement point of contact and assists with various analysis projects as needed. Responsibilities Responsibilities * Supports all aspects of the monthly/quarterly close and financial plan deliverables to Corporate, including (but not limited to): by-title submissions, P&L "cause of change" schedules, support schedules, government surveys and the electronic financial package. * Supports preparation and submission of the cash forecast. * Conducts variance analysis, G/L research, and various other ad hoc functions. * Leads in preparation of quarterly flash report. * Prepares and submits required quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley deliverables, including key control QVCs, narratives, test materials and audit requests. Requires a thorough understanding of WBCP's control environment and the ability to address, in a nuanced way, various inquiries and requests from the WB Compliance team and WB's internal auditors. * Serves as main point of contact and subject matter expert for internal procurement and payment activities.
