Role Summary:

Drives increased efficiency across the Scrum teams through implementation of software test at scale and continuous integration frameworks. He/she would leverage build promotion and release strategies supporting tools for automated and manual testing at scale. They will leverage product and technology reuse at a release level across products.

Essential Responsibilities:

Applies software system and DevOps thinking helping increase the speed, efficiency and quality of our software process.

Demonstrates expertise in tool development, writing scripts to automate tasks

Provides expertise in quality engineering, test planning and test methodology for a software product

Monitors and collaborates with Scrum teams to ensure code quality is maintained and organized with automation

Driving improvements around build and release using TFS and VSTS 2015 or later versions

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM)
5 years of professional experience

Eligibility Requirements:

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

Must be willing to work out of an office located in Minden, NV

Must be willing to travel

Desired Characteristics:

Technical Expertise:

Experience in languages such as C++, C#, Java, XAML, HTML5

Working knowledge of relational databases

Working knowledge of object-oriented programming

Approximately three years of software development or equivalent

Experience in end to end test automation

Excellent knowledge in configuration management, build and integration tools (TFS/VSTS)

Familiar with Agile concepts, preferably Scrum

Business Acumen:

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong business analysis and problem solving skills

Evaluates products & processes to assure compliance. Measures the impact of trends (cyclical or a shift) and takes action relative to product value position and overall strategy

Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other GE businesses
