About the job

The Fraud & Financial Crimes R&D team is looking for a Senior Software Developer to advance our streaming data orchestration framework. Our team uses cutting-edge architectures and languages to deliver world-class software that is essential to the Fraud & Financial Crimes portfolio.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will:

• Design, write, and revise program language code; actively solicit the involvement of other developers to ensure integrity and cross-product consistency

• Lead development of individual product features; discuss technical and design issues with other developers, managers, product owners, product architects, and users whenever necessary to achieve optimal solutions

• Participate in project scoping and tracking using the Agile methodology in a continuous delivery environment

• Maintain ownership and accountability of code by verifying programming output in unit test cases

• Work with usability and accessibility analysts and technical writers to meet corporate, product, and market requirements

• Mentor junior team members

• Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.

• 8+ years of experience with Go or Java programming languages

• An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

• Knowledge of REST standards

• Experience working in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environment; familiarity with Git and Gerrit

• Experience composing unit-tests and using unit-test frameworks

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with streaming data systems

• Experience with RedPanda Benthos or similar data orchestration frameworks

• Knowledge of SAS Viya 4 architecture

• Experience with user interface development, preferably React
