This team has the responsibility to develop, sustain and improve new firmware for the scanning, mobility and dimensioning product line.

As a team member, you will:

  • Develop, document, test and sustain firmware for a broad range of products

  • Participate in firmware architecture definition

  • Be responsible for measuring and maintaining best-in-class product performance

  • Develop the necessary analysis tools to measure performance

  • Work collaboratively with a global team on new product development

  • Follow the software development process to assure all deliverables are completed appropriately

  • Interface with customers in VOC activities to help determine necessary features for new products

  • Identify and propose technical improvements using your software engineering knowledge and principals

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software / Computer / Systems Engineering

WE VALUE

  • Experience in C/C++

  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems

  • Experience with both bare metal and Embedded Linux OS

  • Strong knowledge of ARM-based processors

  • Understanding various software development lifecycle (Agile)

  • Knowledge of communications protocols, an asset

  • Knowledge of standard image file formats such as JPG, BMP, PNG, TIF etc

  • Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices

  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse and global team.

  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events

  • Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
