The Verizon Media Workflow Solutions team provides powerful workflow solutions and analytics that power productivity of teams across Verizon Media. You will be responsible for the design and development of end-to-end features in current and future products, working with business leaders and product managers to build applications that make teams more efficient. You have strong development experience with multiple programming languages and enjoy learning new technologies. You have a deep proficiency in front-end web development and comprehensive knowledge of technologies like JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, Node.js, Angular.js, React.js and AJAX. You have a value delivery and problem-solving mindset that complements your superior verbal and written communication skills.


This position is for a Full-stack Software engineer who will be working on core infrastructure and enterprise workflow functionality. You will be responsible for:

  • Discussing needs with stakeholders/customers to understand requirements

  • Designing and implementing features for infrastructure and enterprise workflow solutions

  • Building applications/systems that are testable, maintainable, extensible and highly efficient

  • Documenting, testing and ongoing support of enterprise systems

  • Recommending modifications to processes and procedures, and contributing to best practices, architecture and implementations

  • Promoting and soliciting ideas within project teams; may lead certain elements of projects

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree (Graduate degree preferred) in computer science, engineering, or a related field and 6-9 years of experience related to software development or implementation

  • Experience working with Javascript and working experience in Angular and React frameworks.

  • Experience developing applications using ServiceNow ServicePortal

  • Comprehensive knowledge of software engineering processes, tools, methods, test development and support

  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts, large-scale software architecture, networking and distributed systems and UNIX/Linux environments

Qorvo is looking for a Storage Engineer that is passionate about technology, about solving complex business challenges, and ready to redefine storage services. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and managing infrastructure at scale, as well as experience with tooling and automation for forecasting, provisioning, monitoring, and managing the environment. Deploy strategies for backups, and long-term system growth. Identify and resolve issues proactively with monitoring tools. Effectively follow change management guidelines for all the changes made to production and pre-production environments. Contribute to implementation of storage / site scalability / capacity architecture to support business growth. Design, implement and lead projects and teams in project delivery. Reporting to the IT Manager, the Sr. Storage Engineer must be a seasoned and self-driven individual with a proven track record of delivering solutions and providing the best possible customer service. Provide consultation and direction to other staff and be looked upon as an expert in Storage Engineering. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Understand application and business requirements to create storage service offerings to enable the company's growth and wide variety of business use cases. * Design next generation storage solutions based on enterprise, commodity, and open source hardware and software offerings to provide the most efficient and powerful platforms. * Develop tooling and automation to enable self-service consumption and moving fast with operations at scale. * Manage storage infrastructure and services consisting of a mixture of enterprise appliances, networks, and open source technologies. * Perform overall guidance and architecture support for the hardware installation, performance monitoring and client problem resolution. Work with Linux and Windows system administrators to configure and provision storage for servers, analyze performance from both the server and the storage perspectives using all available tools (including Windows and Linux performance measurement utilities). * Performs system capacity analysis and planning to ensure storage management system operation and resource utilization optimization. * Provides efficient and reliable storage allocation and defines backup, recovery, archival procedures. * Create SOP guides and audit systems to ensure that industry best practices are implemented and followed. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related * 7+ years of Enterprise Storage * 2+ years of experience with Software Defined Storage solutions * Understanding of storage protocols * Deep knowledge managing Network Appliance storage clusters * Experience with Pure Storage Arrays or similar * Strong scripting knowledge of PowerShell and/or Python * Experience scripting using the Network Appliance API using PowerShell or Python a plus * Automation of routine storage activities using Ansible a plus * Effective understanding of both NFS and CIFS * Ability to debate effective methods of storage organization with aggregates, volumes, qtrees or similar for other storage devices * Scripting experience for storage reporting and familiarity with commercial and open source reporting tools a plus * Willingness to learn new storage technology or simply review new technology in depth to compare/contrast to existing storage technology used by the company * Experience managing costs and budget preparation including software and hardware maintenance, supplies inventory, vendor relationship and licensing. * Excellent time-management, communication, technical writing, presentations, and organizational skills required * Demonstrated 'can do' drive and attitude * ITIL certification a plus. * Self-motivated and proactive in identifying areas of improvement. * Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. * Able to be flexible with regards to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. * Strong interpersonal skills: persuasive, encouraging, and motivating. * Tenacious with an unrelenting focus on delivering high quality products and services within defined timeframes and costs. * Independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills * Excellent customer service skills * Additional working hours as required to meet project deadlines * Sitting for extended periods of time. * Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components. * Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings. * Travel will be required (up to 5%) Working Conditions Our organization has a responsibility to comply with all applicable requirements set forth by International Traffic Arms Regulations ("ITAR", 22 CFR 120-130).
