Job Description:

Organizational Overview

Enterprise Services is the provider of information technology services to the DST enterprise. Our business is to connect our clients to their customers by automating business processes, providing information for decision making, and providing productivity tools to increase efficiency. This includes the information technology infrastructure and architecture functions, as well as, the global information privacy and security.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Senior Software Application Administrator with strong analysis skills to independently support Front-end, Back-end and Middleware Applications running on Windows, Java, Apache, Linux, Oracle, and DB2. The administrator will work with clients, client advocates, professional services, ES server support and DBA teams to maintain our in-house AWD application. The administrator will manage the execution activities for all change requests and break fix incidents; including application upgrades, code/configuration/integration changes, certificate implementation, SQL inserts/queries/views/reports/stored procedures/table modifications and develop automation through complex scripts. The application support includes handling issue escalations, synopsis/root cause analysis and lessons learned. The administrator will provide complete documentation of process & procedures, service ticket completion, and change control requests. The associate will participate in 24 x 7 on call delivery support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members

Responsibilities

  • Intermediate database knowledge/skills for maintaining databases; including ability to craft complex SQL statements

  • Advanced technical skills interacting with Enterprise level technology (LINUX, Windows, Oracle, etc)

  • Scripting skills preferred

  • Above average Customer Service/Communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast pace, changing environment

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Desire to work in a close knit team environment

  • Perform after hours and weekend work requests and problem resolution

  • Participate in the oncall rotation supporting the AWD Application for hosted clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of work-related experience, or Master's degree and 1 year of work-related experience, or 5 years equivalent work-related experience

Required Skills

  • 5-7 years of UNIX and Windows experience.

  • 5-7 years of experience implementing, upgrading and supporting applications.

  • 5-7 years of software/application administration experience.

  • General SQL knowledge and experience with various database platforms including Oracle, DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server, including performance troubleshooting are expected.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge or experience working with a variety of applications such as Tableau, Splunk, WebFOCUS, Dell IAM tools, CA Clarity, Hyperion, PeopleSoft, DataStage, Tomcat, WebLogic, and Windows PowerShell experience.

  • UNIX shell scripting experience.

  • Past work experience in a multi-tiered/highly available application infrastructure

  • Knowledge and understanding of network, hardware, operating system, and DBMS administration.

The Security Analyst is responsible for the development and oversight of security requirements involved in new initiatives or the modification and ongoing support of existing objectives and initiatives. The Security Analyst must work with business partners as well as IT professionals in implementing security controls across the organization. The position will focus on secure software development and security-based risk assessments of internal controls and processes, third party service providers, along with business and technology sponsored projects and initiatives. This includes working with managers and other stakeholders to develop contractual requirements, security assessments, and timely reporting of assessment results to management. RESPONSIBILITIES * Function as a frontline representative of Information Security leading by example, being diplomatic yet firm, fair, flexible and consistent in deploying industry standard information security best practices and applicable laws, regulations, and policies. * Promote secure configuration and coding standards. * Drive assessment of applications to identify and prioritize risks, driving prioritization and remediation across application development teams. * Proactively identify and implement products and tools to ensure security of our applications, collaborating with all areas of IT to harden our environment. * Provide security-based risk assessments of business and technology sponsored projects and initiatives, including engagements with third parties. * Provides support and guidance regarding best practice, regulatory, and legal compliance, including GLBA, GDPR, ISO 27002, NIST, PCI, and SOX. * Use knowledge of information security standards and best practices to assist management in the creation of persuasive policy and procedures to influence security culture. * Evaluate security controls and identify potential risk. * Interact with all levels within the organization to ensure activities are understood and completed appropriately. * Maintain up-to-date procedure documentation of assessments and controls. * Work with process owners to ensure that they understand risks, and remediation plans and target dates are developed and documented. * Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to create information security awareness within the organization. * Monitor compliance with information security policies and procedures. * Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values, philosophy, and culture of the organization. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor Degree in Information Security / Assurance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline from an accredited college. * Demonstrated knowledge of information security discipline via relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CAP, CISM, GSNA, GPEN, CEH, PCI ISA). * Minimum of five (5) years of experience in information technology or software development, with at least three (3) years of experience leveraging secure development tools, such as static/dynamic code review platforms. * Understanding of security controls, such as encryption, identity and access management, and vulnerability scanning. * Understanding of IT compliance with regulatory requirements (i.e., GLBA, SOX, PCI) and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27002, GDPR). * Understanding of risk and compliance assessment methodologies. * Knowledge of network-based services, client/server applications, mobile applications, enterprise systems and infrastructure, network architecture, and security infrastructure. OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS * Ability to take initiative, work independently, and effectively manage multiple projects. * Ability to build and maintain high credibility with all business partners. * Strong verbal, written communications and task management skills. * Ability to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely. * Strong analytical and problem resolution skills with the ability to react quickly. * Proven self-starter and willing to accept additional responsibilities as position expands.
