General Statement of Duties
The Forsyth County Department of Social Services is seeking a Sr. Social Worker (Quality Assurance Specialist) to provide ongoing evaluation of services and programs to ensure that safety and well-being measures are met for children (birth-21 years old) in Forsyth County who have been reported abused, neglected and/or dependent juveniles.

Distinguishing Features
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, team building, and facilitation skills in an effort to ensure supportive technical assistance and consultation is practices with the Child Welfare staff regarding policies, procedures, and audit outcomes.
The Quality Improvement Specialist should also be proficient in Child Welfare policy at large and be able to communicate standards collaboratively. General knowledge in Child Welfare Subject Matter includes intake, investigations, in-home services, foster care, adoptions, licensing, and federal and state measurements/benchmarks. Specific recruitment for this position in the areas of CPS Intake, CPS Assessments/Investigations and In-Home Services.
This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel and database management.
Minimum Education and Experience
Master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work or;
Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative or;
Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and one year directly related experience or;
Master's degree in counseling in a human services field and one year of social work or counseling or;
Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and two years directly related experience or;
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of directly related experience.
Valid driver's license required as this position will require frequent driving.
Department Hiring Preferences include: Completion of the Child Welfare Pre-Service, NCFASTtraining, and the ability to create and maintain Excel spreadsheets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Child Welfare Quality Assurance Specialist will facilitate the division's Continuous Quality Improvement efforts by providing divisional case record reviews, evaluation and tracking, action planning, data compilation, and collaboration/consultation with the Child Welfare management and line staff and the agency business office as needed.
Additionally, the person in this position will review internal and external data reports and consult with the Family and Children's Leadership Team regarding priority areas and general data outcomes.
The Quality Assurance Specialist will also co-facilitate with the child welfare division leadership team all program improvement efforts as determined from both internal case reviews and State and Federal reviews, as needed.
