Your Career

Come join Palo Alto Networks as a SOC Automation Engineer on the Information Security team. As a member of the Security Operations Center group within InfoSec, you'll push the limits of what's possible in the SOAR space (Security Orchestration, Orchestration and Response).

At Palo Alto Networks, we "sip our own champagne" by protecting our global organization with the innovative security products that we build and sell to our customers. With the addition of Demisto to the Palo Alto Networks team, we are looking for an individual to perform in a key role; Design, test and build inspiring automation playbooks in Demisto that are deployed internally to demonstrate what it means to truly disrupt the traditional manual SOC model.

With your passion for automation, coupled with your desire to hunt for and stop cyber bad guys, you will join a team of highly motivated SOC Engineers at the fastest growing security company in history.

Your Impact

  • Responsible for analyzing, building, testing, deploying, maintaining and documenting new SOAR (security orchestration and automation response) playbooks to extend the existing automation capabilities of the Security Operations Center.

  • Develop creative new approaches to accelerate threat detection, responses and remediation of security incidents in a global organization.

  • Coordinate playbook deployments with multi-functional team members to maintain high quality work products.

  • Collaborate with and provide feedback to the engineers and product managers of Demisto as you operationalize the innovative security automation tool into Palo Alto Networks' security operations.

  • Drive playbook development to completion with minimal supervision.

Your Experience

  • US Citizen

  • 1+ years hands-on experience developing automation playbooks in Demisto, Phantom, Swimlane or other leading SOAR solution

  • Python scripting ninja

  • Embraces Agile Project Management methodology

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Facilitate and lead meetings of peers within the organization

  • Customer focused, have a drive for results, and passionate about building great products that will have impact across the organization

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Your Preferred Experience

  • 1+ years hands-on experience in a security operations environment as an Analyst or Engineer

You will contribute to the development of infrastructure for debug and coverage to enable faster debug of failures and achievement of coverage goals.<br /> <br /> <strong>About the Project:</strong><br /> As a member of a SOC integration/verification team, develop verification plans based on microarchitecture specifications and System Verilog/UVM tests to both stress the design and cover the functional conditions specified in your plan.
