Job Description
The Senior Software Developer, EDI role offers the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies and influence the EDI and MFT roadmap for Advance Auto Parts (AAP). This senior level position works closely with IT Enterprise Architecture, Supply Chain, customers and vendors in electronic communication of purchase order, advance ship notice, invoice, and other business data for Advance Auto Parts. This role shares accountability for secure managed file transport (MFT) & EDI including BPML, SI, and ITX development as well as integration with Kafka, REST API, and other cloud-based applications and tools. Additionally, this role encompasses application administration responsibilities including system performance analysis and tuning.
Qualifications:
Expert level understanding of the IBM Sterling Integrator (SI) application
Experience with Transformation Extender (ITX) BP and map design, development, integration, and performance tuning
Experience with of AIX, Linux, Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP), Sterling External Authentication Server (SEAS), Oracle DB, & stored procedure design, development and execution
Experience with integration using Kafka Avro, REST API, JSON, X12, XML, cXML
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Other duties may be assigned.
BPML design and development
SI and ITX map development
Application patching and upgrades
System tuning for optimal performance
Design and develop integrated automation for ITX and SI error handling with business user friendly messages to trade partners for compliance failures
Manage complex SI/EDI/MFT and ITX technical support and application performance activities
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years SI EDI technical work experience, including minimum 3 years retail EDI or comparable mix of education and experience
Must have 5+ years XML transformation experience
Minimum 3+ years of experience in ITX, Kafka, MuleSoft, REST API,
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with and influence team members of all levels
Excellent organizational, problem solving, prioritization, and follow-up skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including ability to balance multiple high priority tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to guide and mentor other developers

Compensation Range
103,500.00 USD PER YEAR - 120,750.00 USD PER YEAR
