LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Sr. SharePoint Developer for a 6-12 month+ contract opportunity, with possibility to convert to hire, with our opinion research client in downtown Chicago, IL!

The Sr. SharePoint Developer will:

  • Determine and create scalable structure for top level business unit sites.

  • Ensure uniform navigation throughout sites.

  • Analyze Production implementation identify and resolve errors, ensure ongoing stability of the environment.

  • Analyze, test and approve any custom development and/or any 3rd party tools required by business.

  • Integrate business systems with SharePoint full systems development lifecycle.

  • Develop extensions and custom components.

  • Develop collaboration with Nintex forms and workflow.

  • Encourage user adoption and embed a sense of excitement in the business regarding SharePoint.

  • Edit and customize pages using Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer and Design Manager.


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

  • 5+ years of Professional Software Development experience

  • 3+ years of experience in UI/UX SharePoint Development

  • Strong SharePoint design implementation skills using HTML5/CSS3 & responsive design

  • Experience with Client Side Scripting (JavaScript, AJAX, DHTML, XSL, XSLT, XHTML)

  • Experience in Staged Deployments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod).

Ensure the quality, stability and performance of existing sites, applications and solutions. Working on team with many collaboration tools/applications, contributing to administration of access controls and governance of applications. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist with the design, implementation, development, maintenance and support of the SharePoint intranet environment. * Manage/modify/create sites and re-usable templates. * Develop new workflows and update existing workflows as needed. * Provide ideas/insight and guidance in projects as well as execute the work, resolve issues and manage customer expectation. * Collaboration with Corporate communications and Information Governance teams to ensure best solution is designed and delivered. * Follow OCC requirements for change management and configuration management. * Provide customer service, training and support to end users, building SharePoint Champions at OCC. * Provide evening and weekend support on an as needed, rotating basis. * Adhere to all policies and procedures and maintain or update related documentation as needed. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Minimum 3-5 years of experience in delivering SharePoint based solutions for the business using SharePoint OOTB functionalities and customization. * Minimum 2 years of experience working with SharePoint online/O365/Compliance Center. * Experience with working on custom SharePoint solutions using Visual Studio. * Experience with Client Side frameworks to develop solutions for SharePoint Online. * Experience with Azure/cloud hosting. * Exposure to SharePoint 2013 Administration and capturing logs. * Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple demands effectively. * Strong planning skills. * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. * Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all customers. * Proven programming proficiency and skills. Technical Skills * Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013, SharePoint Online and/or Office 365. * Experience with migration from SharePoint On-premises to SharePoint Online. * Experience working with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath and Visual Studio, PowerShell. * Experience within the following domains: workflows, migration, design, retention, archiving and auditing. * Experience with client-side frameworks for SharePoint Online development. * Web programming skills including JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, Angular, C#, .NET, and CSS. * Experience with developing and implementing SharePoint solution in Azure. * Experience with SharePoint Framework. * Nice to have experience with SharePoint 2013 Administration. * Nice to have experience with Nintex Workflows * Nice to have experience with JIRA. * Nice to have experience with other .net CMS applications and/or other collaboration tools. Education and/or Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. * At least 3-5 years of SharePoint application development.
