Role Summary:

The Senior Services Sales Director will develop win strategies for strategic services pursuits with commercial airlines, pursue regional military opportunities, and close opportunities in services channels to meet operating plan, margin expansion and long-term growth goals for multiple product lines.

Essential Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of significant accomplishments in Sales / Marketing / Business Development in the Aerospace industry, preferably in a role that has relationships with military and/or commercial aftermarket customers.

  • Execute on assigned operating plan and targets to assure that the business wins profitable sales through value propositions

  • For assigned customers and segments, formulate and execute strategies and plans that capitalize on the customers' strengths as supplemented by GE's products and services

  • Build relationships with the assigned customers for sales

  • Lead sales activities and work closely with the Product Line, Finance and Engineering across multiple product lines

  • Negotiate contracts as required

  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base

  • Work with Marketing to develop project-specific sales strategies for assigned customers

  • Please Note: Work location listed is Cincinnati, OH. However, the Location is Flex- including: Cincinnati, OH, Grand Rapids, MI or the Clearwater, FL locations

  • Willingness to travel 30 - 50 percent of the time

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of Five (5) years of sales, marketing and business development experience in the Aerospace Industry

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):

  • Ability and willingness to travel 30-50% of the time

Desired Characteristics:

  • Fluency in Spanish

  • Local customer base and market experience

  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers

  • Prior commercial sales experience in closing large and complex contractual agreements is preferred

  • Experience and knowledge in Avionics and/or Integrated Systems

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong coordination and influencing skills

  • Ability to develop and foster strong customer relationships

  • Ability to effectively lead matrixed pursuit team to meet sales plan

  • Ability to apply AOS techniques to improve customer satisfaction

  • Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools (SalesForce.com, Excel, etc.)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
