Spectrum Brands utilizes a Shared Services model that enables resources to be leveraged across the organization. The Shared Services team is made up of information technology, human resources, indirect sourcing, finance & accounting professionals that support all business units. Shared services teams are headquartered in Middleton, Wisconsin but have members across the country.
The Sr. ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for executing Service Management roadmap initiatives, performing and overseeing development, testing and implementation of multiple complex, organization-wide systems and processes using the Service-Now platform. Responsibilities will be global in nature and will require cross-functional collaborations with various stakeholders in the Information Technology organization.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as the operational and technical leader for the Service Now platform.
Lead the development and implementation of new configurations and customizations in ServiceNow.
Lead the implementation of new ServiceNow modules and workflows
Lead the creation and documentation of user project requirements, QA test cases and final UAT requirements.
Lead the support of all future releases and provide updates to software as required based on feedback from users.
Define and manage resource requirements and allocations, monitor and improve quality, and ensure 'best practice' development techniques while enabling development teams to automate change request workflows and providing end users with self service capabilities.
Serve as the technical owner of ServiceNow.
Align IT business functions with available tools to achieve best-in-class service management.
Participate in streamlining and standardization of IT processes, standards and supporting documentation.
Interface with vendors, business teams and executives
Organize and prioritize supporting development efforts
Coordinate the efforts of administrators and developers with organization of peers to provide a seamless customer experience.
Work with internal users and process analysts to evaluate current state processes, help define ServiceNow requirements and architect, document, develop and configure the ServiceNow platform.
Drive internal and external customer satisfaction while ensuring minimal disruption to impacted stakeholders.
Education and Experience Profile
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education required.
Must have a minimum of:
5 years of experience in an IT related role involving transformational activities/programs,
3 years working experience with ServiceNow
Experience in building service management roadmaps
Natural ability to command authority, communicate clearly, completely and concisely, as well as have a comfort level in providing updates at all levels of the organization.
Broad-based information systems, technical management or business experience in a dynamic, high-technology environment.
Possess a thorough understanding and working knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and project management methodologies.
Excellent analytical, oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgement and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with internal and external customers, and senior management.
Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport persuades others, and gains understanding.
Excellent management skills to effectively lead and direct a diverse work group; to achieve results through team efforts, and the desire and ability to motivate, persuade and direct the activities of others.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with aggressive project delivery expectations.
Excellent communication skills. The successful candidate must effectively communicate cross-functionally and at a variety of levels within the organization.
