Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a successful Senior Service Engineer to join our SMT Service Team in our IM Group. This position is responsible for the overall satisfaction of YMUS, IM Division (YMUS IM) customers. The Service Engineer will provide excellent solutions for customer's needs, in a timely, professional manner. A solution to a customer's need is one which satisfies both YMUS IM and the customer. The Service Engineer will provide sales solutions, application solutions, and repair solutions.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Distributors and direct customers of YMUS IM through phone, email, and onsite support in order to resolve equipment, application and sales issues

  • Directly service customers in the southeast, including installation, warranty, service and Preventative Maintenance

  • Communicate with Sales Staff for future opportunities at existing customer sites

  • Communicate with factory engineering to improve products and eliminate repeat issues

  • Document technical issues in an accurate and professional manner so that they can be understood and tracked by YMC Engineering and YMUS Technical Support

  • Track customer issues to ensure a solution is provided that satisfies the customer and can be used for development of training or to avoid future issues

  • Acquire the knowledge necessary to act as the Subject Matter Expert for both internal and external customers

  • Communicate with management any customer issue that may impact the overall relationship

  • Provide support for customer demonstrations

  • Setup/Remove equipment from Demonstration facility as required

Experience, Knowledge, Skills Required:

  • Minimum 5 years experience with servicing related SMT Equipment.

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related fields, or 10 years of related experience

  • Ability to communicate successfully in multi-cultural environment

  • Ability to travel for company business as required
