PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Sr Server and Cloud Administrator to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ, The Woodlands, TX office, Long Beach, CA office, or at one of our refinery locations.

Provision, maintain and support critical infrastructure services within the IT Portfolio, across a diverse landscape of technology platforms and environments, including Cloud solutions, while contributing to the strategic directions of the technology for PBF Headquarters. Primary responsibilities include day-to-day operations and support of productivity and collaborations of cloud technologies. Provide technical guidance in planning and implementing new solutions while ensuring existing platforms remain stable.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsibilities include supporting the full complement of technical activities that encompass server infrastructure and operations

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, procedures, architectures, and technology solutions

• Provides a structured approach and identify strategies, initiatives, remedies and improvements to system, technical requirements, and operations so that the infrastructure is operating optimally

• Maintain multiuser computing environment as per the requirements of the organization

• Assist in the administration of cloud service and a windows server environment

• Monitors and analyzes the capabilities and performance of the systems.

• Manage health and wellness of infrastructure and system maintenance for primary and disaster recovery sites, as well as cloud implementations, including upgrade, patching, backups, disaster recovery, compatibility, configuration…

• Assist in maintaining system security strategies, policies, and procedures

• Design, implement and test complex system and technical solutions

• Administer and engineer aspects of Microsoft Office 365 products and Entra (Azure AD) including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform, Conditional Access, MFA, Enterprise applications, and related technologies.

• Analyze technical needs, document requirements, design and implement technical solutions for Microsoft 365.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for administering and troubleshooting Exchange Online.

• Provide troubleshooting steps and operational documentation to Level 1/2 support team

• Review current technologies, tools, and services and make recommendations for their use based on security/compliance, financial, and operational criteria.

• Understanding of Microsoft licensing SKUs/models and deployment best practices.

• Assist cyber security investigations and contribute to providing audit proof of operations.

• Detect and troubleshoot to solve technical problems.

• Document monthly metrics for cloud operations

• Provision and setup new infrastructure solutions, install and configure windows operating system and other operating systems (as needed) in cloud IaaS providers

• Analyze flows, prepare design documents relating to all aspects of the architecture of PBF server technology

• Support the need for cost-efficiency, and agility related to IT opportunities, maintainability, supportability, and operational efficiency

• Provide and manage Infrastructure domains

• Install and configure the Windows operating system in cloud IaaS providers.

• Manage and upgrade operating systems

• Analyze the configuration and network security of the systems and existing solutions to ensure operational stability, currency, and maintainability

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues on windows and cloud-based systems, and other operating systems as needed. Provide root cause analysis, and determine remedial actions, and improvements to avoid future issues

• Monitor System performance (Servers, software, hardware, and other infrastructure as it relates to optimal infrastructure performance), and when necessary, implement changes to improve and stabilize areas of concern

• Assist in management of infrastructure contracts, licenses, end of life, new products

• Assist in the administration of cloud service and a windows server environment

• Advise business users, technical teams, and others as needed on best possible design solutions to a given problem

• Collaborate within a technical team and work in an international team environment

• Assists technical teams as needed

• Assist with selection of technical approach and capabilities to meet technical requirements, evaluating new technologies for improved functionality

• Establish strong relationships with the business and IT teams within our organization, driving improved communication of the architecture vision, and the needs and issues as they relate to technical delivery

• Support business users (as needed) in the use of tools and applications required to do their job

• Document system design

• Adhere to design standards for infrastructure architecture

• Document designs, processes, procedures, and operations architectures

• Maintain and update, infrastructure and operations processes and procedures. .

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree required

• 5+ years of experience in server administration and infrastructure architecture, and Cloud architecture and Design

• 3+ years' experience in Microsoft 365 Cloud (Azure) Engineering

• Experience in server administration, infrastructure architecture, and operations, including cloud architecture, design, implementation, administration, and support

• Subject Matter Expert in messaging within O365, and Teams

• Proven experience engineering: Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Power Platform, Conditional Access, and MFA

• Ability to write and execute PowerShell scripts and commands.

• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• In-depth knowledge of technology products with ability to design and integrate various types of servers, infrastructure

• Experience in domains administration, risk management, real time

• Proficiency in implementing reliable, complex, secure, high performance and scalable solutions

• Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment

• Demonstrated problem solving

• Demonstrated conflict management

• Action oriented - high level of energy and results oriented

• Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal - excellent communication (written and verbal) with ability to interact at a technical and non-technical level with infrastructure, network, development, and functional teams.

• Experience working with diverse and multicultural teams a plus

• Experience in system diagnostics, such as performance tuning, capacity planning, and availability analysis

• Experience in implementing principles of project administration via formal methodology and utilizing the associated techniques and tools

• Ability to draft accurate documentation that supports the project management effort

• Strong interest in innovative technologies and desire to work on pioneering engagements.

CA Job Posting Requirement: The salary range for this position is $ 97,322.86 - $172,707.40. The compensation range listed in this posting is in compliance with applicable state law. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills and internal peer equity will be considered in determining the selected candidate's compensation. Salaries at the time of hire are typically in the lower to middle portion of the above range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect future performance-based increases. In addition to salary, PBF offers a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
