WellSky is seeking a Sr. Scrum Master in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City metro to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for guiding and coaching the development team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality solutions to our clients. You'll also facilitate and support all scrum events and contribute to the advancement and continuous improvement of Agile practices across the organization.
A day in the life!
You will be responsible for the following:
Ensure Agile principles are properly implemented and adopted
Coach the team to adopt Agile principles, team standards, tools, and best practices
Mentor other Scrum Masters to help them grow in their Agile journey
Organize and facilitate Scrum-related events such as daily stand up, sprint planning, sprint retrospective, and others
Lead Agile related workshops at all levels of the organization
Communicate effectively within your team and business division
Ensure proper transparency and visibility into dependencies and risks
Assist the team to identify and remove impediments
Analyze and present team metrics to aid in determining areas of process improvement
Facilitate cross-team conversations and resolve conflict
Provide constructive feedback to teammates and direct reports
Understand technical issues at a high level
Be inclusive of diverse ideas, viewpoints, and personalities
Adapt to dynamic environment of shifting priorities, demands, and timeline
Contribute to team discussions/decisions as needed
Collaborate with leadership to help foster a continues improvement environment at WellSky
Perform other job duties as assigned
Do you have what it takes?
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Minimum 4-6 years related work experience as a Scrum Master
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM or PSM) certification from an accredited institution such as Scrum.org or scrumalliance.org
Expert level experience in Jira and Confluence
Knowledge of Agile software development process
Ability to mentor and coach the team to reach their highest potential
Ability to understand technical issues at a high level
Collaborative approach to driving decisions
Strong analytical, organizational, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills
Experience with SaaS software and Agile project management tools
