Position Summary:
The Sr. Scientist/Principal Scientist, Immunology will manage, plan and execute in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo studies to evaluate novel drug conjugates for applications in inflammation, autoimmunity and other areas of unmet medical need. The position is lab-facing, on-site, and will report to the Head of Biology. Title and compensation package will be based on prior experience.
Responsibilities:
Develop, perform, and optimize in vitro and ex vivo assays using human primary immune cells to evaluate novel payloads, antibodies, and drug conjugates
Design, manage, and coordinate in vivo studies with CROs
Establish strong in-house capabilities to perform primary immune cell experiments
Collaborate cross-functionally with oncology, protein sciences and chemistry teams
Participate in project teams and develop scientific presentations for internal and external audiences
Requirements and Experience:
Ph.D in immunology, cell biology, or closely related field with 6-12 years of industry and/or post doc experience or a B.S. with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience
Strong hands-on experience in managing, designing, and executing ex vivo and in vivo experiments to evaluate ADC, mAb, or small molecule therapeutics
Significant immunology-based laboratory experience is required with the ability to perform flow cytometry on primary human and mouse immune cells
Expertise in human B cell biology is highly preferred, but not mandatory
Experience with isolating and culturing human and mouse primary immune cells, ELISA, and cytokine multiplex assays
Demonstrated track record of scientific progress, including multiple, first author peer-reviewed publications
Creativity and problem-solving skills paired with ability to excel in a highly collaborative environment
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
