The Sr. SAP Production Planning & Quality Lead will be a site lead at our Chicopee, MA manufacturing facility and responsible for business system solutions for Callaway Golf's Global Supplier & Demand planning, production control and execution solutions in the areas such as PP, Quality, PM and Warehousing. As the functional site lead, this role will represent the site's needs within our global IT organization. The position is responsible for analyzing highly complex business problems to be solved with automated system and providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meets business objectives. Must have superior business relationship skills and production functional knowledge with change management experience. Our facility is going through a technology evolution and this role will be key to many of these initiatives. This role will be an independent onsite resource who can work in a matrix organization to deliver excellent results.


  • Lead the design, configuration, implementation and support of SAP medium size functional solutions.

  • As a member of configuration team: work independently to design and configure solutions to meet the business requirements in the related areas such as PP, Quality, PM and Warehousing.

  • Manage all phases of the project life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and post-production support/maintenance.

  • Assist in the development and enforcement of best practices to deliver stable, reliable and highly available solutions.

  • Produce and peer review technical designs and architectures for development projects.

  • Demonstrate effective and collaborative communication with internal team members and Business Partners.

  • Coordinate project tasks and ensure accurate estimates are provided for completion of business solutions.

  • Research and debug potential performance or other system anomalies (i.e. demonstrate superior problem resolution).

  • Create and compile technical documentation including: unit, integration, and acceptance test plans, support documentation and end user documentation for delivered solutions and other tasks.

  • Develop and enforce day-to-day support policies and procedures.

  • Communicate status of projects and initiatives to management.

  • Manage multiple projects/reporting solutions for multiple business areas.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills. Ability to work directly with business analysts to translate complex functional design into technical specifications. Able to grasp requirements quickly and anticipate potential future requirements.

  • Advanced business process knowledge across many areas with ability to provide context to requirements.

  • Ability to facilitate conversations about best practices and SAP solution architectures to enable best practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including ability to conduct formal and informal presentations and workshops with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business.

  • In-depth knowledge of configuration, development, multi-tiered architecture and cross-functional integration.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP Production Planning (PP), Quality, PM, Warehousing and solution experience.

  • Ability to recognize and minimize design dependencies between projects.

  • Excellent working knowledge of upgrade processes and all aspects of system testing.

  • Able to work extended or non-standard hours to support business needs and project deadlines as needed.

  • Diverse background with broad knowledge of solution platforms, custom development, and package implementations.


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area, or equivalent additional work experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP processes and supporting business processes.

  • Minimum 3 years of SAP functional experience with SAP suite, other areas include Purchasing and Production Planning.

This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service and leadership to accounts, as well as represent client need and goals within the organization to ensure quality. Major Responsibilities: * Individual would manage a complex book of business comprised of clients who are located both locally and nationally and are comprised of various funding methods, advanced contract features and structure that requires a higher level of experience and technical expertise. * Responsible for acting as the primary contact between clients and insurance carriers and retaining clients through customer service which includes open and clear communication channels with clients, producers and internal partners. Ensure accurate and timely responses occur between all parties. * Ability to lead client meetings regarding renewal and utilization results in the absence of the Account Executive and/or Producer. * Identify problems, summarize and develop strategic solutions with the client by incorporating the company's culture, mission and future staffing needs into our recommended strategic solutions. * Expected to attend client meetings on site at their location(s). On occasion overnight travel may be required. * As needed, preparation of materials needed for client meetings including but not limited to agendas, reports, calendars, etc. * Expected to have regular client contact as established by the client service calendar and renewal timeline. Client contact will include all methods: electronic, telephonic and in person. * Educate, advise and aid clients on all Compliance topics including, but not limited to, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s and Health Care Reform. * Communicate due dates, timelines and expectation to clients and partners. * Install new group insurance contracts for existing clients or new clients effectively utilizing resources to match client needs. * Administer renewals including preparing appropriate contractual changes. * Conduct on-site meetings to communicate to employees and/or administrator about their benefit plans. * Develop employee memorandum drafts for client to communicate the following; annual renewal changes, enrollment procedures, miscellaneous benefit changes and/or clarifications. * Provide resolution support and oversight of employee issues such as enrollment and billing issues. When the Benefit Resource Center is not engaged, support with escalated claim issues is also expected. * Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships. * Provide leadership to the team that promotes teamwork by sharing experiences, assisting others when help is needed and maintaining a positive and professional attitude. * Ability to work on additional projects that supports the overall development and advancement of the Employee Benefits team. * Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
