Leadership is not tied to a job title, i.e. you don't need to be accountable for a team to be considered a leader.Position SummaryThe Senior SAP FICO Business Systems Analyst acts as the FI/CO IT lead during Orora North America's implementation of SAP on HANA. This Analyst will leverage his/her extensive SAP FI/CO experience to assist in the configuration and support of the SAP Financial System modules in alignment with financial and business requirements. He/she must be able to support all phases of a project lifecycle including design, development, testing, training, and documentation.Location: Buena Park, CA or Tempe, AZPrimary Duties and Responsibilities * Perform all tasks with a customer-centric focus, weighing individual customer (internal or external) needs with the overall needs of the business. * Communicate SAP capabilities/possibilities within FI/CO modules during design workshops with business leaders and consultants. * Provides business analysis and process design expertise in the SAP FI/CO area, with integration to BPC, Power BI and other systems as necessary. * Acts as the effective liaison between IT, business partners, and consulting vendors by communicating requirements, business processes, and issues. * Develops business relationships and liaises with other IT areas to ensure successful implementation and support for all project efforts. * Part of the team responsible for system configuration, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance, and deployment. * Provides post-implementation process and application support. * Writes or reviews functional specifications for development activities as needed. * Lead small sub-projects; creates detailed project plans and project estimates. * Regularly coach other project personnel to ensure business application systems are developed in a way that complies with best practice use of SAP. Cross train other associates where and when appropriate. * Provides ongoing responsibility for system failure prevention, system problem calls and user inquiries. * Leads constant improvement opportunities and appropriately challenges processes to ensure global consistency. * Translates long-term objectives into practical solutions; networks and benchmarks to gain insights into the potential use of new tools, processes and techniques. * Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues * Troubleshoot complex business and technical problems. * Develop and retain relevant SAP skills including participating in user groups, training, and professional associations. * Development of standards and procedures. * Support SAP systems upgrades and life cycle management. * Collaborate with outsource team member and developers and interface with all business areas of business for SAP support. * Prepares project status reports for management and business users. * Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsEducation and Experience:*
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management Information Systems with an emphasis in a specific functional area, such as finance, operations, logistics, or sales and marketing OR in lieu of degree 10+ years of equal work experience and technical training required.* 8+ years of SAP FI/CO IT experience with an emphasis on programming, application development, project management experience, and demonstrated experience in managing medium to large development project from initiation to implementation. * Experience implementing SAP in a wholesale distribution environment a plus * Experience working with VIM, FSCM, Vertex,Vistex, Paymetric, Service Now, Hyperion, Qlikview a plusKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:*
  • SAP functional and configuration skills in FI/CO Modules * Solid understanding of SAP data model in FI/CO Modules * Comprehensive understanding of SAP's customizing toolset * Experience with functional design of interfaces leveraging Fiori and Personas preferred * Experience with at least 2 full life cycle SAP FI/CO implementations preferred* SME Configuration for FI-GL/AP/Fixed assets/Treasury/Banking, Profit Center Accounting/FSCM- Credit and Collections/Disputes * Configure exchange rate ratios, rate types and load rates * Finance integration with Material Management and SD modules * Ability to work independently as well as a team player required * Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks required * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in technical terms required * Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills required * Strong Project Management methodology practices * Provides technical and operational support for monthly financial close processes and reporting within SAP system. * This position requires the ability to demonstrate the following competencies: * Business Mastery * Integrated Leadership * People Development * Change Management * Intellectual flexibility & technical acumenPhysical Demands & Work Environment * Please refer to the Orora North America Job Analysis ReportReasonable AccommodationsReasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
