VIEW JOBS 3/31/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-29T00:00 Overview JOB TITLE: Senior Sales Engineer LOCATION: Atlanta, GA or Colorado Springs, Denver or Remote PURPOSE: Key member of the customer facing sales organization having the primary responsibility for providing pre-sales technical support for all PGi products and services as well as being called upon to assist in customer implementations where technical expertise is required. Resource will interact directly with all levels of client management team (including executive) to understand and document their requirements and work with PGi teams Product Management, Production Engineering, Network Engineering, Billing, Telco, Pricing to identify and present the most appropriate solution to the customer. Resource will take a leadership position in assessing customer IT environments, identifying and resolving issues prior to deployment of PGi software products, as well as support the deployment and integration of the PGi software portfolio into customer IT environments. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: * Working closely with the NA Sales Teams to ensure that workable solutions are identified to meet customer requirements associated to Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) including Web/Video/Audio Conferencing, Enterprise Voice, and IM&P. * To accompany the sales team on customer meetings, assisting in the gathering of requirements and the provision of technical advice for UCaaS and Personal Web Conferencing (PWC) opportunities. * Completes necessary documentation to support the sales process including but not limited to Requests for Proposals (RFP), Network Diagrams, Call Flows, Site Survey, Statement of Works, and other similar documentation. * Work closely with PGi teams including Product Management, Billing, Customer Services, Production Engineering, Network Engineering & Telco to define customer solutions as needed. * Presenting the appropriate PGi solutions at customer meetings, with a particular focus on promoting PGi priority solutions. * Keeping well informed of general technical developments, company products and services. * Take a leadership position in assessing customer IT environments, including identifying and resolving potential issues in Proof of Concept and Post Sale roll outs. * Support the deployment and integration of the PGi software portfolio into customer IT environments. * Maintaining accurate, up to date reporting using the company systems and providing ad-hoc manual reporting where required. * Ensuring that your product, technical and market knowledge is kept up to date by reading literature, networking, attending training courses, liaising with other colleagues and sharing unique knowledge with the rest of the company. * Actively participate as a SME for UCaaS and Enterprise Voice technologies, providing consultative support to Sales and other Sales Engineers in this area of specialization. * Maintaining a positive and healthy attitude that contributes directly to the working environment of the sales team and the Company. * Perform all other job-related tasks as assigned. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * At least 5 years knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in several of the following areas of specialization: Voice, Video, Mobile Communications, Personal Web Conferencing technology, Business Applications and Integrations, IMS Network Architectures (including experience with all VoIP network elements - Soft Switch, MGW, MGC, SBC, CPE, etc.) * Strong understanding of VoIP and data networking protocols including: SIP, MGCP, RTP, IMS, HTTP/S, XML, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, etc. * Strong understanding of VoIP network architecture, products, protocols, and solutions. Hosted voice experience in a multi-tenant environment is a plus. * Foundational knowledge on TCP/IP, MPLS, VPLS, LAN/WAN, Ethernet, SIP, CoS, QoS, UCaaS, Contact Center, Cybersecurity best practices, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Server OS's and Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions * Strong understanding of SD-WAN technology and associated benefits as related to QoS including experience with design/deployment. Velocloud experience is a plus. * Good understanding of web conferencing industry and associated products. * Some understanding of software development technologies is desirable. * Ability to teach other members of the team and act as a mentor as required * Professional sales Presentation skills to all levels. * High quality business reporting and proposal writing skills. * Demonstrated ability to implement, drive and track projects.
