The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the company's relationships with its largest and most strategic national accounts. This role involves developing and executing account strategies to drive revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and ensure the long-term success of key customer partnerships.
The Senior Sales Manager will work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer service, to deliver exceptional value to national accounts. Account Management and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive account strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
Manage and grow relationships with key national accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts. Regularly review account performance and adjust strategies as needed to achieve objectives.
Sales Leadership: Help lead, mentor, and develop a team of Territory Managers. Set performance goals and provide ongoing coaching to ensure the team meets sales targets and other key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with the sales team to create and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
Customer Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for national accounts, addressing their needs and resolving issues promptly. Foster strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within customer organizations.
Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with national accounts. Market Analysis and Business Development: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the industry.
Develop and implement strategies to capture new business opportunities and expand the company's presence in the market. Stay informed about competitors' activities and market conditions to strategically position the company. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal departments such as marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure alignment and support for national accounts. Coordinate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional activities tailored to national accounts.
Provide feedback to product development based on customer insights and market needs.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales or account management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing national or key accounts.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Skills and Abilities: Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers.
Proficiency in CRM software and other sales management tools. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends. Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, depending on client and business needs. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Working Conditions:
This position may be based at the company's headquarters or operate remotely, depending on the location and needs of the business.
