A Day in the Life

Senior Director of Sales, GIH will be the senior sales leadership position in Medtronic's Gastrointestinal & Hepatology (GIH) organization reporting to the VP & General Manager, GIH. This individual will develop and implement sales strategies and provide leadership and direction to the field sales organization.The position is responsible for the overall fiscal success of the GIH business, including net revenue and expense management, exceeding market growth and increasing product revenue margins. The position will be actively engaged in developing the division's strategic plan and operational goals. The Sr Sales Director GIH will be responsible also for Commercial Excellence, Business Intelligence, Sales Operations, Customer Service, Inside Sales and Clinical Specialists.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish strategic sales plans, in partnership with Marketing for the purpose of achieving corporate objectives for products and services resulting in revenue growth above market rates

  • Organize sales force territory design and call points to meet the needs of our business

  • Drive the Sales Automation strategy by leveraging SFDC and Callidus Cloud

  • Responsible for commercial strategy and execution of the GI Solutions and Ablation businesses

  • Develops Key Opinion Leader relationships to support the growth of the business

  • Develop successful and key senior relationships with strategic partners, working closely to identify and qualify new business opportunities

  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts sales strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions

  • Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image both internally and externally

  • Works closely with cross-functional departments in Medtronic's matrix organization

  • Plan and direct activities including planning and implementing forecasts, relationship development, and customer satisfaction

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback for sales team; participate/oversee succession planning efforts

  • Own pipeline transformation, sales compensation evolution, and collaborate with professional service

  • Devise and deploy all sales objectives and goals, including sales targets and budget preparation

  • Inspire, motive and create a culture of inclusion and teamwork

Must Have: Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum of 15 years prior relevant sales and sales leadership experience

  • Or minimum 13 years prior relevant sales and sales leadership experience with Masters of Advanced Degree

  • 8+ years sales and sales management experience in medical devices

Nice to Have

  • A proven track record of hiring, developing and promoting key talent throughout the organization

  • Must have successfully demonstrated top performing capability in sales management at top sales organization levels (Director and above or comparable).

  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and negotiating skills

  • Experience working in a matrixed environment

  • MBA

The Sr. Director of Growth is the leader of our marketing team, the driver of our growth strategies, and the keeper of the Avid4 brand. You will be responsible for overseeing company growth initiatives and supervising the marketing department. You will work closely with the executive team to identify partners, manage relationships and set strategy to launch partnerships for continuous growth, as well as being responsible for planning and executing other initiatives to meet company growth goals. You are a Strong Communicator and Connector You will be managing a small team and also working closely and collaboratively with all of our departments. Core Responsibilities: * Help senior leadership team vet potential growth initiatives with forecasts and projections. * Collaborate across departments to lead and support long-term growth vision. * Collaborate with marketing team to develop Avid4 Adventure's overall marketing strategy to achieve company's revenue and enrollment goals for day camps, overnight camp, expeditions, school programs, merchandise sales, and events. * Oversee growth initiatives, including enhancing our digital and grassroots strategies for achieving registration and revenue growth goals. * Develop and oversee the annual marketing team budget. * Revise and execute on a creative, enthralling, and effective grassroots strategy that drives growth through referrals and word of mouth. * Lead, manage, and hold accountable members of the marketing team. * Other responsibilities directed by the CEO as needed. Minimum Experience Requirements: * At least 3 years experience working with HubSpot or similar automation software. * At least 3 years experience working with WordPress or equivalent CMS. * At least 3 years of experience managing a happy, productive, and connected team. * Deep understanding of digital marketing strategies and technologies. * Demonstrated experience using storytelling, creativity, pictures/video, etc to grow sales. * Demonstrated experience conducting lead nurturing campaigns with quantifiable results. * Demonstrated experience analyzing metric-driven intelligence. * You already love and live the Avid Core Values.
