The Sr. Sales Analyst is an integral member of the Walmart Sales, Category Management and Customer development teams. This role provides support for all facets of customer sales and category management including; retail analytics for category, brand, store and item level POS, consumer and market intelligence, retailer scorecard assessment and shopper insight (for both Everyday and Seasonal businesses). Ultimate accountability is to provide broad, relevant views and actionable insight (the story) that create "win-win" strategies to drive sustainable category growth and improve market position. Understanding the retailers' strategy, merchandising direction, and shopper characteristics to align the strengths and business strategies of the Wilton brand. The Sales Analyst will ensure information is shared with key Wilton Brand stakeholders.
Maintain customer point of sale (POS) to build an information base of both department and category performance over time. (i.e. seasonality, promotion effectiveness, etc.) for both Everyday and Seasonal.
Deliver insights, implications and recommendations within context of your data analyses to provide a platform for decision making
Integrate consumer insight learnings into POS analyses and recommendations
Work with Sales Management to develop plan-o-gram and seasonal promotion recommendations (for inventory commitment buys).
Assist in the development and delivery of Information based sales presentations through the use and analysis of external consumer/category information.
Conduct periodic business reviews to address key opportunities for retailers as well as monitor portfolio health and brand development
Collaborate with the customer and category management teams: identify and facilitate process improvement opportunities, knowledge sharing and best practices application with other team members.
Education and Experience:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Access, Excel, and Power Point.
Strong analytical skills including experience with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large amounts of data with the goal of creating and communicating actionable insights.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Retail Link proficient
Ability to manage multiple projects at once and change/re-direct priorities as needed
