Job Title: Sr. Sales Analyst

Department: Sales

SUMMARY

  • This key position will be responsible in providing robust Sales Reporting, Analytics, Insights, and Recommendations support for the senior North America Invisalign Sales team

  • This position is required to provide accurate and timely sales reports and dashboards as well as proactive business insights and recommendations to help drive Align Technologies business

  • Responsibilities range from efficient and effective, massive and complex sales data validation, manipulation and analysis, to presentation of key business insights and recommendations to senior sales management

  • Responsibilities also include the development of effective, strong relationships with key stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Business Intelligence/IT teams)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Extract and verify accuracy of sales data used for various North America sales reports and dashboards. Update, review, and ensure accuracy of various daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports, dashboards, and scorecards

  • Develop and deliver sales reports, dashboards, and scorecards on a timely manner according to pre-established schedule

  • Apply proactive, strategic thinking to develop and manage complex business-case analysis in order to identify drivers behind sales performance including sales trends, product, and customer segment

  • Prepare and present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management

  • Develop and implement key performance metrics that help identify business opportunities and measure sales performance

  • Provide support to the sales team in answering questions and providing proactive analytics related to sales reports, trends, insights, ROI, and Lift analyses

  • Participate in quarterly close process and preparation of sales reporting package for sales management team.

  • Provide ad hoc analysis for assigned departments on as needed basis

  • Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated strong analytical, quantitative, and abstract thinking skills in complex types of analyses

  • Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct complex analyses

  • Detail oriented with focus on quality and accuracy

  • Demonstrated ability in building and presenting professional presentations and recommendations to senior management. Ability to 'tell the story' in a concise, professional manner

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships with various team members across the organization. Strong cross-functional skills with IT/BI teams required

  • Proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

  • Ability to work with some or minimal direction and supervision required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience; Masters' degree in business or analytical field preferred

  • 6+ years of experience in Sales/Marketing Analytics and/or Sales Operations

  • Experience supporting Sales and/or Marketing in healthcare industry preferred

  • Strong database and query skills are required (specifically, Python, MS Excel, SQL)

  • Strong skills in building reports, dashboards, and scorecards in Power BI, Einstein, or Tableau

  • High proficiency MS Excel is required (use of macros and advanced formulas such as V/Hlookup, Index, Match, Advanced Filters)

  • Strong skills developing and presenting analysis and recommendations in Power Point are required

  • Desired experience in SalesForce (understand data hierarchy structures)

  • Desired but not required knowledge of statistical analysis and tools

Sr BA Under broad supervision, the Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for conducting organizational studies and evaluations, designing systems and procedures, conducting work simplification and measurement studies, and preparing operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. The Sr. Business Analyst will also direct the assignments of Business Analysts and Junior Business Analysts. Duties and Responsibilities: Jr BA / BA * Continuously exhibit and uphold company core values. * Maintain a consistent and constant flow of communication between the business users and IT. * Working with business leaders to achieve the best use of technology to attain business goals (both in efficiency and quality). Utilize both business and IT expertise to help business owners determine priorities. * Perform requirements gathering with the business user community for IT projects. * Analysis of business requirements in coordination with development managers to determine the best development approach/solution within the existing IT systems infrastructure. * Ability to manage all projects and provide accurate time estimates for their individual work effort. Analysts are expected to meet time estimates they generate on a consistent basis with valid explanation when time estimates are missed. * Conduct/Oversee system training for business users as system enhancements are migrated to the production environment. * Provide production support and trouble-shooting assistance for system issues. * Work with IT and business units to generate ad hoc reports and data extracts using SQL. * Continually update insurance industry related knowledge through insurance journals, newspaper articles, BISYS, CPCU, etc. * Earn certifications pertaining to insurance industry or IT industry (i.e., CPCU, Project Management, Business Analyst Certification(s)). * Continue to enhance skill set that can be used in day to day tasks (i.e., SQL queries, Access, Excel) Sr BA * Gather and organize information on problems or procedures and processes for insurance systems related to commercial and personal lines of business vis-à-vis Workers Compensation, Commercial Package, General Liability, Commercial Auto, Commercial Property, etc… * Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding. Conduct quality reviews. * Confer with internal and external system stakeholders to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures. * Develop and implement records management program for filing, protection, and retrieval of records, and assure compliance with program. * Review forms and reports and confer with management and users about format, distribution, and purpose, and to identify problems and improvements. * Interview personnel and conduct on-site observation to ascertain unit functions, work performed, and methods, equipment, and personnel used. * Document findings of study and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. * Prepare manuals and train workers in use of new forms, reports, procedures, or systems according to organizational policy. * Design, evaluate, recommend and approve changes of forms, reports, and systems. * Plan study of work problems and procedures such as organizational change, communications, information flow, integrated system methods, inventory control, or cost analysis. * Perform business impact analysis and research. * Supervisory Responsibilities: * Recruit and train Business Analysts to support long-term management strategy, goals and objectives. * Effectively manage the performance and development of the Business Analyst team members.
